A single entrance, at the Matawin Registration Centre, provides access to Réserve faunique du Saint-Maurice. You enter via Route 155. It's on the right bank of the Saint-Maurice, at Trois-Rives, 2 km south of the bridge that crosses the river (tolls charged by Corporation du Pont Mékinac).
Toll fee: $12 (cash) per vehicle for two crossings (there and back). You can leave the reserve for a maximum of an hour and a half for free by leaving your ticket at the gatehouse.
From mid-May to mid-October. After mid-October, rights of access are available at the administrative office across from the registration centre. Opening hours vary by season.
