Parc national de Miguasha

380 million years later, we’re still talking about the fossil fish and plants that are protected and preserved by Parc national de Miguasha. This dynamic and unifying museum welcomes visitors of all ages who drop in to the park to discover the fascinating world of fossils and paleontology. A unique, different and must-see popular science experience in Gaspésie!

Rates

Groups of visitors can enjoy a tour customized to fit their schedules. Reservations required. For groups of 35 or more people the park offers a made-to-measure activity combining a guided tour and time for individual discovery at your own pace.

Period: year-round

Along the cliff over a 1.5-km distance, a short trail takes in all of the beauty of the park's surroundings. At one end, a 214-step stairway leads you from the shoreline, up the fossil-bearing cliff, and to the museum. On this "Evolution of Life" trail, discovery panels will tell you about the history of life on our planet.
