Parc national des Hautes-Gorges-de-la-Rivière-Malbaie

Two day-fishing locations are available for speckled trout fishing.

• Rivière Malbaie (with waders, in a canoe or Sépaq boat)
• Wading:
  • downstream of the dam: fly fishing only
  • upstream of the dam: trolling or fly fishing
• Lac Noir (Sépaq boat)

You can buy your provincial fishing licence and fishing right of access at the park gatehouse. The quota for speckled trout is 15.

To get to the lake, you must also be able to travel the 12 km of forest road with a sport utility vehicle or an all-terrain bicycle. For information about gatehouse hours, call 418 439-1227.

Period: May 25 to September 3, 2012

Take advantage of a 16 km (round trip) to relax on the calm waters of Rivière Malbaie and admire the many wildlife habitats along the banks of the river. In a kayak or canoe, paddle between the highest cliffs in Eastern Canada and admire this unique scenery.

You'll discover the beauties of the park on a 16-km partly paved cycling path that runs from the Félix-Antoine-Savard Discovery and Visitor Centre to L'Équerre Campground.  It also passes through Le Draveur Visitors Centre. There are picnic tables along the way where you can take a little break.

Mix practical matters with fun and ride your bike to L'Équerre campground! We offer bicycle, baggage trailer and chariot carrier for kids rentals. Reserve early!

Table of trails

Explore the 30 km of trails that wind through our park, ranging from easy to difficult. Raise the curtain on a remarkable territory that wears traces left by time, ice, water and wind. Mountain climbers can meet on the highest peak in the area, Acropole des Draveurs, at 1,048 m in altitude.

Visit the national park during a 1 hour cruise aboard Le Menaud, a riverboat that holds 48 passengers. The rear deck is specially designed to make it easy for you to take photographs. The captain and park warden-naturalist will be more than happy to share their little corner of paradise with you.

You can also try the dusk cruise. Many people consider the 6:30 p.m. cruise the best one of the day. In fact, the river often becomes calm at this time, the animals come out, and the play of light on the rocky cliffs is at its height. This summer, campers can take advantage of a 20% discount on the price of this cruise. Come and share these beautiful moments with the riverboat crew!
