Guided Activities (Calendar)
Have fun discovering winter in the company of our professional and dynamic guides. Ancient Forest, Cross Country Ski and Tea, Sugar Shack, Porcupine Snowshoe Adventure, and the Arts Workshop…are all on the menu. Don’t miss our two featured activities - geocaching and the torchlight hike. The guided activities are free for customers with vacationing packages (lodge or hotel) or they are available separately.

Snowshoeing and Snow Walking
What better way to delve into nature than on snowshoes? Discover the forest’s movements with 20.2 linear km of marked trails. A warming hut awaits you on one of the trails. If you want to go at your own rhythm, the snow walking trails are the perfect choice (3.8 km). Customers staying at the Station (room or villa) have free access to the network. Snowshoe rental included with vacationing package (room).

Skating
To everyone’s great pleasure, each year Station touristique Duchesnay makes a skating rink. Duchesnay’s forest environment makes this experience even more enjoyable. Customers staying at the Station (room or villa) have free access to the skating rink. Skate rental included only with vacationing packages (room).

Snow Tubing
A magnificent slope near the Horizon Lodge and the sugar shack will delight fun-seekers of all ages. Pleasure and exercise are on the agenda since the Station does not have a chair lift! Inner tubes are free for villa or vacation package customers (room). |
Activities with Partners
The activities offered in collaboration with our partners are not included with room or villa rentals. They are available separately or included in certain vacationing packages. However, please note that a visit to the Ice Hotel is included with all of the Station’s vacationing packages.
Tyst Trädgård – Jardin de détente
Scandinavian Spa
Tyst Trädgård – Jardin de détente, located at Station touristique Duchesnay facing Lac Saint-Joseph, has just opened. This Scandinavian-inspired concept features privacy and offers an incomparable sensorial experience! Each of the massage areas transports you into a unique ambiance all its own (e.g. Egyptian temple). The hydrotherapy installations are located outside in an absolutely enchanting and totally private setting. Immerse yourself in the beautifully appointed water basins to obtain the benefits on your blood circulation of an alternation of hot and cold water, and to savour the meaning of the words Jardin de détente. Hôtel de Glace
This huge 3,000 m2 complex made entirely of snow and ice includes a bar made of ice, a chapel, 2 exhibition rooms, 36 rooms and suites, a great hall dominated by a fibre optics chandelier, a huge N'Ice Club that accommodates 400 people, and a Nordic relaxation area composed of 2 outdoor spas and a sauna. An event not to be missed!

 Ice Fishing
You can enjoy the pleasures of ice fishing only in Baie de Duchesnay. This activity, during which you can tantalize, among others, speckled trout and smallmouth bass is offered in collaboration with l'Association chasse et pêche Catshalac. Requiring little equipment, this is a joyful way to liven up a get-together with friends or an outing with the family. For information, call Odette Paré 418 875-0357.

Snowmobiling is one of the many winter activities you can enjoy at Station touristique Duchesnay. It is offered in collaboration with Kamoutik Aventure. Hourly rental and adventure raids will delight fans of this popular sport. Information: 418 875-1022 |
