Activities
Our skilled guides convey
their passion for the outdoors through a wide range
of activities the whole family will love. Take advantage
of their experience as you try your hand at rock
climbing, archery, forest orientation or forest survival.
You can also enjoy guided hikes or crafts workshops.
These activities are included in all Vacationing
packages (room accommodations). |

Canoeing,
Kayaking, and Other Nautical Activities
Are you a fan of nautical
activities? With a prime location on the shores of
Lac Saint-Joseph, Duchesnay is the perfect place
to enjoy your favourite activity. You can rent a
variety of equipment at the nautical centre - canoes,
kayaks, pedal boats, and a rabaska canoe. Customers
staying at the Station with vacation packages or
at the villas have free access to watercraft for
2 hours at a time (unlimited number of loans). |

Hiking
25.7 linear km of easy-going
hiking trails wind through the forest, giving visitors
the opportunity to make all sorts of discoveries,
such as an interesting geological phenomenon - rock
shelters. On trail #8, you can explore a section
of the Trans-Québec trail, which crosses the
station for a distance of 15 km. Admission to the
network of trails is included with parking fees and
room or villa rentals.

Cycling
and Forest Cycling
You will love the magnificent
Jacques-Cartier-Portneuf cycling path, which hooks
up with Corridor des cheminots. You can cycle all
the way from Old Québec to the Station on
this path. Not far from Duchesnay, you will also
find the Chemin de la liseuse cycling trail which
runs alongside Rivière Jacques-Cartier for
a distance of 13 km. If you prefer cycling in the
forest, the Station’s forestry roads form a
network of 65 km of trails. Free admission to this
network for customers staying at the station (rooms
or villas). Bicycle rental not included.

Supervised
Swimming
Lac Saint-Joseph is a
wonderful place to swim. The sandy beach is a natural
playground for children. With lifeguard supervision
and a marked-off swimming area, kids and adults alike
can enjoy this family activity in safety. Please
note that swimming is reserved for customers staying
at the Station. |

Games… and
More Games!
A number of recreational
sites make the Station a fabulous place for playing
your favourite games: croquet, shuffleboard, petanque,
badminton, volley-ball and horseshoes. Hours of fun
await you! Free access to games for customers staying
at the Station (rooms or villas). Equipment loan
included. |
Activities in Collaboration with Partners
The majority
of the partner activities are not
included with room or villa rentals.
They can be purchased separately
or are included in certain vacationing
packages.
 D’Arbre
en arbre
Starting on June
18, Duchesnay offers a tree-top adventure
circuit called d’Arbre en arbre.
Four circuits, totalling 72 stations
with progressive levels of difficulty,
are located in the Rocher sector -
monkey bridges, nets, foot bridges,
etc. Thrill seekers will love the new extreme loop, a daring circuit designed for those in good shape. Reserve your departure time by calling 418

 Super
Wooden Labyrinth
Created by Laurent
Jolibois, this activity will delight groups
of all ages. The twelve-sided labyrinth
looks like a fort from the Old West. The
activity promises two and a half hours
of pleasure, during which you can find
the centre and the exit of the labyrinth
while answering questions for the educational
and humorous rally. Every month the circuit
is changed with the help of 240 one-way
doors. This activity is accessible to the
mobility impaired. School package available.

 NEW
Tyst Trädgård – Jardin de détente
Scandinavian Spa
Tyst Trädgård – Jardin
de détente, has just opened. It is located
on the grounds of Station touristique Duchesnay facing
Lac Saint-Joseph. This Scandinavian-inspired spa
features privacy and an incomparable experience for
the senses! In each of the different massage areas,
individuals or couples are transported into a unique
environment (i.e. Egyptian Temple). The hydrotherapy
installations are located outside in an enchanting
and completely private setting. Slip into the beautiful
water basis to obtain the benefits on your blood
circulation of the alternation of hot and cold water… and
to savour the meaning of the words Jardin de détente.
