Parcs Québec has heard you. For transporting your supply of campfire wood, we now offer reusable log-carriers, which are made in Québec from scraps of window blinds. Carrying your firewood has never been easier or more eco-friendly!
Moving firewood, even just a few kilometers away, can spread invasive insects and diseases to our forests. Buy it locally. Burn it on site. Never bring it back home. For more information: www.inspection.gc.ca.
The team at Parc national des Hautes-Gorges-de-la-Rivière-Malbaie is happy to confirm that the Golden Eagle, Aquila chrysaetos, has returned to the park. This July, two park wardens went out looking for signs of nesting. The search was fruitful; they spotted the eagle couple and their nest full of young eaglets.
If you see wildlife species in the park you can let us know by e-mail: parc.hautes-gorges@sepaq.com. This information could help the team document plant and animal life on the territory.
