laberge

Georges Laberge

President, Board of Directors

Mr. Laberge studied business at Burdett College in Boston and earned a degree from École forestière de Duchesnay and Académie de Québec.

Mr. Laberge has held many different positions in his career. He was Director of the Canadian Lumbermen's Association, President of the Association de sécurité des industriels forestiers du Québec -- Lac-Saint-Jean sector, and President of the Association des manufacturiers de bois de sciage du Québec (AMBSQ).

He also held several senior positions on boards of directors and was a member of Hydro-Québec's Board of Directors, Executive Committee and Audit Committee from 1987 to 1994, and the boards of directors of Groupe Benoît Allard from 1994 to 1997 and Port Saguenay from 1999 to 2005. He also sat as a board member for Société zoologique de Saint-Félicien, served as President of the Laberge et Laberge ltée sawmill and Colaber ltée, and was founder and President of Club de placements Jeannois.

Strongly involved in his professional field and his community, Mr. Laberge served as city councillor for the municipality of Saint-Félicien from 1973 to 1977.

Daniel Deslauriers

Chair, Governance and Ethics Committee; Member, Human Resources Committee

Mr. Deslauriers obtained a Doctorate in Medicine (M.D.) from the Quebec College of Physicians in 1983 and a specialist certification (CSPQ) in Medical Biochemistry and Metabolism from the Quebec College of Physicians and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC) in 1992. He also earned a Master's degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology (M.Sc.) from Université Laval in 1991. He is a licensed member of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC).

Mr. Deslauriers practiced general medicine in various regions of Québec before specializing in medical biochemistry. He has been practicing his specialty at the CHA-Hôtel-Dieu de Lévis university hospital and three other local hospitals since 1992. He also acted as Head of the Medical Biochemistry and Medical Biology departments in various institutions. He acted as consulting physician for two of Quebec's Health and Social Services agencies (ARSSSQ).

Mr. Deslauriers earned a Certificate in Corporate Governance from the Collège des administrateurs de sociétés at Université Laval, giving him the designation of certified corporate director. He is also a member of the Quebec Order of Chartered Administrators (ADMA).

He has sat on various boards, including that of the Quebec Medical Association (AMQ), and as an alternate member on the board of directors of the Canadian Medical Association (CMA).


Dupere

Anne Dupéré


A graduate of Université du Québec à Montréal in urbanism, Anne Dupéré also holds a certificate in property management from Université du Québec à Montréal and a Masters degree in land management and regional development from Université Laval (1987).

Mme Dupéré has several years experience in the business milieu, for both public and private enterprise. These experiences have allowed her to expand her multidisciplinary skills, particularly in business development, as much at the local level as national and international.

She is the Director General of the Société d’aide au développement de la collectivité, in the Matane region and the Canadian Diamond Business Development Centre. From 2005 to 2010, she was the Business Development Director for Diarough Canada inc. Since May, 2010, she has been meeting a new challenge as the Development President for Groupe Bertrand Rioux inc.

Deborah Hook

Member, Audit Committee

A Université Laval law graduate and member of the Barreau du Québec since 1991, Deborah Hook also holds a Bachelor of Arts in French (1979) from University of Waterloo.

Ms. Hook performed management functions for the Quebec Community Groups Network and the International Linguistic Centre inc. She is currently the Director of the Centre de gestion du sevrage in Ottawa.


Perrault

Nicole Perrault


Nicole Perrault holds a Bachelor of Law (1985) and a diploma in notarial law from Université Laval (1986). In 2002, she completed training in project management at Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue.

Ms. Perrault was a notary in Val-d’Or for nearly 17 years and then became the Director of the county constituency office in Abitibi-Est and Political Attaché for the Ministre des Ressources naturelles et de la Faune. Since 2007, she has been the Realty Development Project Manager for L. Fournier et fils inc. and Développements DSF in Val-d’Or.

Still involved in her community, she has served on several boards of directors for a variety of organizations: the Val-d’Or Chamber of Commerce, the Corporation de développement industriel de Val-d’Or, the Office du tourisme and the Cité de l’Or, the Club de natation les Marsouins de Val-d’Or and the Club Aquatique Aquamos d’Amos. She was also a founding member and manager for the Maison de soins palliatifs de la Source Gabriel in Val-d’Or.

Hughes T. Poulin

Chair, Audit Committee; Member, Governance and Ethics Committee

In addition to earning a law degree from Université Laval and becoming a member of the Quebec Bar Association in 1969, Mr. Poulin went on to obtain an MBA from Université Laval (1972). He also earned a Certificate in Corporate Governance from the Collège des administrateurs de sociétés at Université Laval, giving him the designation of certified corporate director.

Mr. Poulin has held various positions in the real estate sector, such as founder of a real estate development and management company in 1982. During the same period, he helped manage various companies in the steel industry and continues to be active in that sector. His activities mainly involve direct operations management, and the field of corporate affairs and development.

He currently sits on the board of directors of Groupe Fertek inc., Numesh inc., Oméga II inc., Métaltech, Échafaud Plus (Laval) inc., Architecture Tout Bois 2007 inc., Huajin Jyangin Numesh ltée, Venture Talent Ltd. and Venture Talent North America Ltd.

André Roy

Chair, Human Resources Committee; Member, Audit Committee

Mr. Roy has held high-level positions within Quebec's public service. Specifically, he was senior administrative director and assistant executive director at the Régie de l'assurance-maladie du Québec (RAMQ), executive director at Réseau Travail Québec, and senior program director at the Ministère de la Main-d'œuvre et de la Sécurité du revenu. He later became Vice-President of public relations and communication at La Capitale Financial Group Inc.

Mr. Roy has sat on numerous boards of directors, including at Mutuelle des fonctionnaires du Québec, La Capitale, general insurance company, Fondation du Musée de la civilisation, Saint-François-d'Assise hospital and foundation, Régie régionale de la santé et des services sociaux (Region 03), Société des jeux mondiaux des policiers et des pompiers Québec 2005 and Société des Jeux du Québec in Charlesbourg.

He currently sits on the board of directors for Centre CASA and the Fondation du Centre CASA, Fondation des sourds, Fondation du Patro de Charlesbourg, Société des Grands Jardins, Riviera Apts "A" of Hallandale Inc. and the investment committee for the Sœurs du Saint-Cœur-de-Marie.

Khatéré Talaï

Member, Governance and Ethics Committee; Member, Human Resources Committee

In addition to a Master's degree in Small and Medium-sized Business Management (1992) and a Bachelor of Business Administration (1989) from Université du Québec à Chicoutimi, Ms. Talaï also earned a college diploma in Economic and Social Sciences (1984) from the Académie de Paris.

Ms. Talaï, a liaison officer for the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi alumni association, also acts as a consultant for the implementation of an organizational model and employee development at Alcan inc. and is a Corporate and Community Services advisor at Cégep de Saint-Félicien.

She currently sits on the board of directors of Odyssée Québec-Monde, an international business training firm, and of the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi alumni association.
