Vincent Bernier

Vincent Bernier

Chairman of the Board; member, Audit Commitee; Member, Governance and Ethics Committee

Vincent Bernier completed a bachelor's degree in public communication and political science at Université Laval in 1992.

In 2007, he founded and since then has served as CEO of Groupe Bemesa Inc., a firm offering coaching and mentoring services to emerging and innovative companies.

Mr. Bernier has worked for several large corporations and organizations, including the Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux du Québec and Le Club de Hockey Les Nordiques de Québec. He has also held the position of director of sales and head of U.S. and international market development for the Société du Centre des congrès de Québec.

For many years, Mr. Bernier has been actively involved in various organizations representing the interests of commercial, industrial, and service companies, particularly at the international level. For example, he was director of the French Chamber of Commerce in Canada, Quebec section, from 2003 to 2013. Among other things, he has been in charge of several France/Quebec economic missions and has chaired the Gala d'excellence en Affaires on six occasions. Since 2019, he has been chair of the Canada-Europe Economic Chamber (Quebec) after serving as vice-chair and director for three years. He is also a member of the board of directors of Ducks Unlimited Canada.

A nature and fishing enthusiast since his early childhood, Mr. Bernier loves being in the forest with his friends and family. He has had the opportunity to visit many of Sépaq's establishments and national parks for more than 30 years.

Martin Soucy

Martin Soucy, MBA, ASC

President and CEO

Martin Soucy is passionate about nature, tourism, and Québec.

A graduate in business administration from the École des hautes études commerciales de Montréal (HEC Montréal) in 1992 and holder of an Executive MBA from the École des sciences de la gestion (ESG) of Université du Québec à Montréal, granted in 2009, Martin Soucy also earned the title of Certified Corporate Director from the Collège des administrateurs de sociétés of Université Laval in 2021.

He began his professional career as General Manager of Recreational Services at Parc d'Oka, from 1994 to 1999, after having been a front-line employee during his studies, notably as Marketing and Customer Service Manager from 1992 to 1994.

Mr. Soucy first joined the Société des établissements de plein air du Québec (Sépaq) as Business Development and Customer Service Coordinator in 1999. In 2001, he continued his career as General Manager of TranscoMax inc. a transportation and logistics company. In 2002, he returned to Sépaq as Director of Parc national du Mont-Tremblant and Réserve faunique Rouge-Matawin until 2010. He then became Vice President, National Park and Campground Operations, a position he held until 2016.

From 2016 to January 2024, he was the first President and CEO of Alliance de l'industrie touristique du Québec, the largest provincial business federation specializing in tourism in Canada, which carries out a mandate delegated by the Ministère du Tourisme for the promotion of Québec tourism on international markets under the Bonjour Québec brand.

On February 5, 2024, Mr. Soucy made his return to Sépaq by being appointed President and CEO and member of the Board of Directors by the Gouvernement du Québec.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Soucy has also been involved in a number of socio-economic organizations at both regional and provincial levels. Most recently, he was Chair of the Board of Directors of the Fondation québécoise de la relève en tourisme (2019 to 2024), as well as a member of the Board of Directors of the Conseil du patronat du Québec (2021 to 2024) and of the Board of Directors of the Conseil québécois des ressources humaines en tourisme (2021 to 2023). He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Destination Canada, and acts as a mentor to the next generation of tourism professionals.

Nicolas Bisson

Nicolas Bisson

Chair, Audit Committee; Chair, Information Resources Committee

Nicolas Bisson completed a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at Université Laval in 2005. He is a member of the Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés (Quebec CPA order) and holds the title of auditor, which bestows the full right to public practice.

Since 2005, Mr. Bisson has been working at the Groupe RDL Québec inc. accounting firm, a member of Groupe RDL, a network of independent accounting firms operating in Quebec. He has been a partner since 2007, and in addition to finance, his main areas of expertise are certification, consulting services, and management. Since January 1, 2022, he has been director general of the accounting firm.

He is also a founding member of Décagone inc. a venture capital firm working in the Quebec City region and composed of professionals from different sectors of activity with the goal of providing human and financial capital.

From 2001 to 2005, he worked as an internal controller for a financial services firm with the title of group savings representative.

Marie A. Dumontier

Marie A. Dumontier

Chair, Sustainable Development Committee; Member, Human Resources Committee

Marie A. Dumontier completed a bachelor's and a master's degree in chemical engineering at Université de Sherbrooke. She also completed a management development diploma at Ivey Business School of Western University in Ontario. Ms. Dumontier is a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (Quebec order of engineers) and is an accredited director, as designated by the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD.D).

She began her career in the environmental sector, first as project manager for Lavalin Inc. then as an environmental engineer for Domtar Inc. She subsequently held positions as corporate director for environment, health, and safety, and carbon strategy for James Maclaren Industries Inc., Noranda Forest Inc., Nexfor Inc., and Fraser Papers Inc. She also worked at Natural Resources Canada as deputy director of the Pulp and Paper Green Transformation Program.

President of MDCI, she has been working since 2012 as a consultant, mainly in environmental risk management and sustainable development management for manufacturing companies, sector associations, research centres, and government departments.

Ms. Dumontier is a past member of the board of directors of the Centre de formation en entreprise et récupération Outaouais (Outaouais business training and recovery centre) and past chair of the board of directors of the Pulp and Paper Technical Association of Canada. She is currently a member of the board of directors of KBF Foundation Canada.

For several decades, Ms. Dumontier has pursued numerous outdoor recreational activities in Quebec and around the world, including canoeing, hiking, bicycle touring, mountain biking, bird watching, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing.

Geneviève Gaudreau-Rouleau

Geneviève Gaudreau‑Rouleau

Member, Human Resources Committee; Member, Sustainable Development Committee

Geneviève Gaudreau-Rouleau completed a B.A. in communications and political science at Université de Montréal. She also received a master’s degree in communications from Université de Montréal.

Ms. Gaudreau-Rouleau is currently a communications project manager in private practice, where she assists companies in their positioning and branding strategies.

During her career, she has worked as a director for organizations in the sports and cultural sectors. She has also worked as a political advisor in the office of the Minister of Municipal Affairs, Regions and Land Occupancy and as a political attaché to the Member of Parliament for the federal electoral district of Laurentides-Labelle.

She has volunteered on various boards and citizen committees such as the economic life committee of the municipality of Mont-Laurier, the Jeunes en Tête youth foundation, and the École d’été arts et métiers d’art (arts and crafts summer school). Passionate about hockey, she has distinguished herself as a referee while participating in several national and international championships.

An outdoor sports, hunting, and fishing enthusiast and lover of nature and wide open spaces, Mrs. Gaudreau-Rouleau has had the opportunity to visit a number of Sépaq parks and establishments, both in winter and summer.

Marie-Christine Lambert

Marie-Christine Lambert

Marie-Christine Lambert completed a bachelor's degree in molecular and cell biology in the cooperative program at Université de Sherbrooke in 2013. She then earned a master’s degree in cellular and molecular biology at Université Laval, where she moved directly to the PhD level in 2016. She will obtain her PhD in 2021. Marie-Christine has participated in a number of provincial and international conferences where she has presented her research results, winning prizes for best presentation at several of them.

In 2019, Ms. Lambert obtained a teaching contract at Collège Ellis teaching biology and microbiology to nursing students. In 2020-2021, she has been working for GuardRx as the person tasked with implementing COVID-19 diagnostic laboratories and training technicians. In July 2021, she joined the team of the biotechnology company ImmuneBiosolutions as a laboratory scientist. Since 2022, Ms. Lambert has taught biology at the college level at the Séminaire de Sherbrooke and at Cégep Champlain Regional College in the natural sciences and humanities programs.

Ms. Lambert has been involved in the association of graduate students of the regenerative medicine division of the Centre de recherche CHU de Québec - Université Laval, an association she co-founded and chaired in 2018-2019. She also volunteers at Expo-Science, promoting science for youth and Girls and Science Day. In addition, she acts as a mentor on the Academos platform, which connects young people with mentors who have a job that interests them so that they can learn more about the mentors' position and career path.

Since her youth, Ms. Lambert has enjoyed the outdoors through activities such as camping, hiking, biking, running, and swimming. She takes advantage of the Mont-Mégantic Dark Sky Reserve to satisfy her curiosity for astronomy. She has often pursued these leisure activities in provincial and federal national parks.

Suzie O'Bomsawin

Suzie O'Bomsawin

Chair, Governance and Ethics Committee; Member, Audit Committee; Member, Sustainable Development Committee

Holder of an integrated bachelor’s in economics and politics (2007) from Université Laval, Suzie O’Bomsawin also holds a master’s degree in business administration (international development – 2010). In addition, in 2020, she completed her university certification in corporate governance (ASC) at the Collège des administrateurs de sociétés of Université Laval.

A member of the W8banaki Nation, Ms. O’Bomsawin is Assistant General Director and Human Resources Manager at the Conseil des Abénakis d'Odanak. She was previously Director of the Ndakina Office of the Grand Council of the Waban-Aki Nation, located in Wôlinak. She has also acted as a training sector manager and Indigenous affairs advisor for the Ministère de l'Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport.

A resident of the Odanak community, she is deeply involved in various organizations dedicated to the interests of First Nations. She was spokesperson for the First Nations Quebec-Labrador Youth Network from August 2011 to August 2015. From 2015 to 2021, she chaired the Board of Directors of the Société historique d'Odanak, the umbrella organization of the Musée des Abénakis. In addition, she is a member of the organization Les Femmes Autochtones du Québec and is involved in organizing various cultural events in her community.

Suzie O’Bomsawin is also an active member of a number of organizations and working committees, including the Indigenous Advisory Committee of the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada, co-chair of the Institutional Committee for Indigenous Peoples of the Université de Sherbrooke, a member of the Indigenous Advisory Committee of Espace pour la vie, and a member of the Bishop's University Board of Governors.

Simon Picard

Simon Picard

Chair, human resources committee; Member, Information Resources Committee

Simon Picard holds a Bachelor of Laws (1998) from Université Laval and also completed a Master of Laws (2000) on Inuit land rights under the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement. He was called to the Quebec Bar in 2001.

A member of the Huron-Wendat Nation, Mr. Picard has been a lawyer with the Huron-Wendat Nation Council since 2001. He has held the position of Director of Legal Services since 2009. He practices mainly in the fields of constitutional law, public law, and Indigenous law. Since 2015, he has also been a lecturer at the Faculty of Law of Université Laval, where he teaches law relating to Indigenous peoples.

Mr. Picard is President of the Quebec Bar Committee on Law Relating to Indigenous Peoples. He is also Chair of the Board of Directors of the Caisse Desjardins de Wendake.

Louise Lacoursière

Louise Lacoursière

Observer, Human Resources Committee; Observer, Information Resources Committee

Louise Lacoursière completed studies in tourism at Collège LaSalle and in communications at Université Laval. She is a member of the Association des communicateurs municipaux du Québec.

Since 2018, Ms. Lacoursière has been a communications and tourism development advisor for the Municipality of La Pocatière. She began her career as head of the tourism division at the Centre local de développement (CLD) of Kamouraska and then worked at the Association touristique régionale (ATR) of Bas-Saint-Laurent as head of communications.

From 2005 to 2017, Ms. Lacoursière was a municipal councillor at the Municipality of La Pocatière, where she was, among other things, responsible for the human resources committee, family issues, and files with a tourism component.

Since mid-December 2020, Ms. Lacoursière has been one of the ambassadors of Camps de l'Everest, which has enabled her to become more involved in the community and to give back to her fellow citizens. Camps de l'Everest is an annual event that allows people to promote healthy lifestyle habits by completing a challenge while collecting donations for various selected organizations.
