Cabins for rent!

There are over 550 cabins for rent throughout the Sépaq network. Nestled in the peaceful great outdoors, they can hold from 2 to 16 people. The perfect opportunity to make precious memories with family, friends or your significant other, not to mention the ideal setting for a few days of rest and recharging.

Cabins are generally located on a lake or river. You can go canoeing, hiking, cycling... and even hunting and fishing, depending on the place and season. During the fall, colourful landscapes and gorgeous trails await you! In winter, there's nothing better than snuggling up by the fire after a day spent enjoying the nearby cross-country ski, snowshoe or hiking trails.

Mini-cabins

Do you have a group of two to four people? Have you heard of mini-cabins? These small cabins, equipped with a few less amenities, are available at the tourist resorts. Perfect for a couple or for a family, they're comfortable and affordable.

Rustic shelter and prospectors' camp

A rustic shelter and a prospectors' camp are very similar to small cabins, but more rudimentary. A vacation straight out of "Ma cabane au Canada"! The major difference with a prospectors' camp is its wood and canvas structure. These affordable camps are available exclusively to groups. Rustic shelters and prospectors' camps are usually located near a lake or river, in the heart of the great outdoors. They are available year round, depending on the campground.

    Notes

    • The cabins are generally fully equipped: lighting, stove, propane or electric refrigerator, toilet, hot water and shower, wood stove or fireplace, and all pots, pans and utensils needed to prepare and serve meals. However, equipment may vary from one cabin to the next, and in the mini-cabins. For example, some cabins may come with bed linens (fees apply), a microwave oven, an electric coffeemaker or a television. Consult the information sheets or call one of our advisors.
    • Rustic shelters and prospectors' camps are equipped with beds, a woodstove and pit toilets.
    • Some sites are accessible only on foot or by bicycle during the summer, and on foot, skis or snowshoes during the winter. See the information sheets in the reservation section.
    • Cabins, rustics shelters and prospectors' camps may be scattered throughout the campground, and be more or less close to the activities and services available.
    • Small animals: Remember, you're in the woods, and sometimes small animals, such as squirrels or mice, will make nests in the roofs or walls of the cabins. So, don't be surprised if your hear strange noises!

     Tips

    • Always check the detailed information sheet for the distance between your campsite and the reception desk.
    • You may have to drive on gravel roads.
    • What to bring: bed linens (sheets, blankets and pillowcases), bath towels and dish cloths, soap and shampoo, and food. Bring extra blankets and warm clothes in the fall and winter. And, to make sure your camping trip is a success, don't forget these things: sunscreen, hat, running shoes, raincoat, matches, change of clothes, first aid kit, binoculars, camera, insect repellent, etc. Other little luxuries that could make your trip even more enjoyable include wine glasses and a corkscrew, or a French-press coffee maker (such as a Bodum)!
    • Drinking water: Since most of the cabins are located in remote areas, the water is not filtered. It's recommended that you bring drinking water, or boil the water at the campsite for one minute.
    • Propane: The cabins are powered with electricity or propane. It's important to remember that a propane refrigerator isn't as efficient as an electric one. Avoid filling it all at once, as it will take much longer to cool the food. Fill it gradually to give it time to adjust. Plan to bring extra ice in your cooler.
    • Certain amenities, like grocery stores and gas stations, may be located quite far from your campsite.
    • The supplies in a cabin during the winter may vary from those found during the summer.
