A Relaxing Vacation!
A place to rest and relax, Camping des Voltigeurs is a vast green park on the banks of the Saint-François River, made-to-measure for comfort and tranquillity. The infrastructures are freshly renovated, the campsites large, shady and well maintained and all the trails are paved with asphalt. History
Camping des Voltigeurs was founded to meet the needs of 'Expo 67 travellers. At that time, it was then one of the largest campgrounds in Québec, with over 500 sites. The region's population still remembers the countless campers lining up all the way to highway 20 to get in. This campground was also a popular rest stop where people came to stretch their legs and take advantage of the multitude of activities offered on the banks of the Saint-François River. The campground was created by the
Ministère du Loisir, de la Chasse et de la Pêche (Ministry of Recreation, Hunting and Fishing). Since 1985, Sépaq has been ensuring the smooth running of the campground. |
