OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES - SUMMER AND AUTUMN
Swimming and Beach games
What do visitors enjoy most? Walking along the beach with their feet in the clear water of lac Simon! The Resort's two-kilometre white sand beach is renowned for its length as much as its beauty. Looking for more action? Take part in the volleyball matches that pop up spontaneously on the beach (equipment provided by the Resort). The swimming zone is supervised every day from 9 AM to 5 PM until mid-August, and on weekends only from mid-August until the end of September.
Canoes, Kayaks, Pedal Boats and Rowboats
Drift gently on the water and explore the lake or try your luck at fishing with your own boat or one from the rental centre.
Games for Children
Children can play to their hearts' content in the little playgrounds designed for them, located near the community centre and the beach snack bar.
Mini-golf
The Vacation Resort offers visitors two eighteen-hole mini-golf courses, both of which overlook the lake and the beach. Each course has two levels of difficulty. Come for some family fun and hone your skills for that next golf game! Open every day until mid-August and on weekends only until the end of September. The information kiosk for the mini-golf is also used to sell wood and ice to campers. It is also a souvenir shop.

Fishing
Fishing at Lac Simon
From lake trout to landlocked salmon, from smallmouth bass to speckled trout and whitefish, lac Simon is the habitat of many sports fishing species, some of which are large salmonidae. Why not take advantage of the chance to cast your line in the big lake? All you need is a Québec fishing licence.
Fishing at Lac de la Ferme
Lac de la ferme is a beautiful little lake just a few minutes from the campground, where you and your family can practise fishing. This is the place to catch smallmouth bass, speckled trout and yellow perch. Come and introduce the kids to the pleasures of fishing! Motorboats are not allowed on this lake.
Scuba Diving
Scuba diving enthusiasts appreciate lac Simon for its depth and clarity. Outside of the summer season, divers can explore the wreckage of an old timber driving boat that sunk to the bottom of the lake nearly 75 years ago or the remains of on old dock where smallmouth bass gather.

Bicycle Excursions
Two kilometres of bicycle trails cross a plantation of white pines, linking the Vacation Resort to the village of Duhamel. The trail is accessible to all types of bicycles. Leave your car behind when you do your errands! Mountain bike enthusiasts also have access to cross country ski trails and the new Duhamel cycling path, which is 10 kilometres long.

Walking Trails
The Resort has 5 kilometres of completely refurbished walking trails, which cross a beautiful mixed forest dominated by white pine, maple and white birch. To have a better knowledge and undestanding of the nature that surrounds you, stroll along la Paruline (extension: la Biche), an auto-interpretation trail of nearly 4 km. |
