With such a wide variety of vegetation, the scenery at Parc national de la Yamaska will charm you. This protected area preserves a beautiful sample of the Appalachian lowlands. The undulating hills surrounding Réservoir Choinière offer the observer many panoramic viewpoints. The combination of forest milieus and shoreline habitats favour a surprising diversity of wildlife. A number of animal species call the park home, making nature observation a very interesting activity, season after season.
A witness to the park’s creation in 1983, Reservoir Choinière is a 4.7-km² expanse of water, perfect for nautical activities with lightweight craft such as canoes, kayaks and pedal boats. The gentle hills and valleys that surround Réservoir Choinière and Parc national de la Yamaska make outdoor buffs happy all year round.
