Parc national de Frontenac straddles the Cantons-de-l'Est and Chaudière-Appalaches tourism regions. Its  3 sectors are spread over nearly 30 km around Grand Lac Saint-François.

Saint-Daniel Sector

From Québec city:

  • Take Highway 73, then Route 173 up to Vallée-Jonction, the Routes 112 and 267.

From Montréal and the Eastern Townships (2 choices):

  • OPTION A - Take Highway 10 E to exit 143 (Fleurimont), then Route 610 to Route 112. Take Route 112 to Disraeli. From there, take Chemin du barrage Allard (Rang 6), then Route 267 S.
  • OPTION B - Take Highway 20 E to exit 228, then Route 165 S to Black Lake. After, take Route 112 E to Thetford Mines. From there,  turn right on Route 267 and follow the directions to secteur St-Daniel.

Southern Sector

From Québec city:

  • Take Highway 73, then route 173 up to Beauceville. From there, take route 108 west up to Lambton. At the exit of the village, follow the signs to the parc national de Frontenac (secteur SUD) via route 263 North until the bridge.

From Montréal and Eastern Townships (2 choices)

  • OPTION A - Take highway 10 East. Bypass downtown Sherbrooke via highway 610 East by following the directions for Thetford Mines. At the end of highway 610, take route 112 East until Disraeli. From there, follow the directions for the parc national de Frontenac (secteur SUD) via route 263 South until the iron bridge.
  • OPTION B - ROUTE 112 CLOSED (until further notice between Black-Lake and Saint-Joseph-de-Coleraine) - Take highway 20 East until exit 228, then route 165 South. Before arriving at Thetford Mines (Black Lake sector), take the detour via Chemin de Vimy until Saint-Joseph-de-Coleraine. Turn right on route 112 West towards Disraeli. From there, follow the directions for parc national de Frontenac (secteur SUD) via route 263 South until the iron bridge.

Saint-Daniel Sector

Saint-Daniel Visitors Centre 
Services: reception and information, payment of entry fee, camper registration, Boutique Nature, mini-convenience store and equipment rental (from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.)

  • June 13 to 19, 2014 : from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • June 20 to September 1, 2014
    • Saturday to Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
    • Friday, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Southern Sector

Southern Discovery and Visitors Centre
Services: reception and information, payment of entry fee, camper, canoer/camper, and cabin user registration, accommodation and campsite reservation, fishing licence, boat rental (from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.), Boutique Nature and mini-convenience store

Period: May 16 to October 13, 2014

Schedule:

  • Low season (from May 16 to June 19 and from September 2 to October 9, 2014)
    • Saturday to Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
    • Friday, from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • High season (from June 20 to August 16, 2014)
    • Saturday to Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
    • Friday, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • High season (from August 17 to September 1, 2014)
    • Saturday to Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
    • Friday, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

L'Escale Visitors Centre (Baie Sauvage campground)
Services: Boutique Nature, mini-convenience store, boat and bike rental (from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.)

Period:

  • Victoria Day 2014
    • Saturday and Sunday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
    • Monday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • May 22 to June 19, 2014
    • Saturday and Sunday (schedule of services may change without notice depending on the weather or the number of users)
  • June 20 to September 1, 2014
    • every day, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • September 4 to October 9, 2014
    • Saturday and Sunday (schedule of services may change without notice depending on the weather or the number of users)
  • Thanksgiving 2014
    • Saturday and Sunday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Notes:

  • The administrative office is at the entrance to the southern sector and is accessible year-round.
  • Low season: from Sunday to Thursday, from May 20 to June 19, 2014, and from September 2 to October 9, 2014
  • High season: Fridays, Saturdays and every day from June 20 to September 1, 2014
  • The schedule of services may change without notice depending on the weather or the number of users.

Several park sectors have been designed to make it easier for people with reduced mobility:

Services

Boutique Nature

Boutique Nature offers a wide range of souvenirs, clothing for adults and children, discovery products for youngsters and outdoor items. It also has educational products like puzzles, colouring books and star finders. The mini-convenience store sells essential items such as wood and ice, frozen products and beverages.

Additional Services

Parc national de Frontenac, in collaboration with Happy Yak meals, offers a ready-to-eat food service. Ideal for outdoor enthusiasts, Happy Yak meals are delicious, easy to prepare and lightweight for transport. They provide enough calories to meet the nutritional needs of fans of the great outdoors and the portions are very generous.
 
Discover Happy Yak products (about fifteen main dishes, five meal soups, and several desserts) at the Discovery and Visitors Centre in the Southern Sector. You can even reserve your Happy Yak products and pick them up when you register for your stay.
