2008 : The Year of the Frog
Zoological institutions throughout the world are mobilizing to try and save amphibians. Close to 30 % of the 6,000 catalogued amphibians are threatened with extinction.

According to Jeffrey Bonner, president of Amphibian Ark: “This is the largest extinction crisis since the dinosaur era”.
