Discovery Activities

Let Us Guide You...

Participate in the park’s discovery activities. Let a park warden share his or her passion for the territory and the nature it protects. The themes and means of transportation are varied. It’s up to you to choose what suits you best!

Hop aboard one of our vehicles for a ride and look for traces of white-tailed deer. Discover its habitat and maybe experience the magic of an encounter! If you prefer water, sign up for one of our rabaska canoe tours. Accompanied by a park warden, float gently into a marsh and discover a habitat teeming with life!

If you’re curious about the people who marked the history of the islands, take one of our two rabaska cruises that take you into the way of life of the Amerindians who once came to hunt and fish on the islands, or find out about other eras, including that of one of the biggest amusement parks in Québec, the King Edward.

See the complete list of the park’s discovery activities (in French only).

... or Go at Your Own Pace

Are you more independent? No problem! Explore Parc national des Îles-de-Boucherville on your own and soak up the spirit of the area. Among your choices are:

  • Boucher-de-Grosbois archeological site
If you want to take a trip back in time and see how the Amerindians lived, visit the Boucher-de-Grosbois archaeological site near Relais Grosbois. A variety of Amerindian structures have been rebuilt here. A hut, dryer, smokehouse, pelt stretcher and some fireplaces give you an opportunity to better understand the lifestyle of this period’s inhabitants. Two discovery panels and a brochure provide a wealth of information.
  • Île-aux-Raisins Discovery Trail
This hiking trail has six discovery panels containing information about the richness of the floodplain. The area’s main tree species are also identified by small plaques.
  • Discover the Marsh
With this brochure identifying life in the marsh, learn to recognize plants and animals as you canoe through the channels between the islands.
