Location

Duchesnay is 30 minutes from Québec City in the Capitale-Nationale region. It is by the shores of the magnificent Lac Saint-Joseph.

Access and Operating Period

From Highway 40, take exit 295 to Sainte-Catherine-de-la-Jacques-Cartier. Follow Route 367, cross the town of Sainte-Catherine and go up the hill, then take the first left (Route Duchesnay). From there, drive about 2 km. Duchesnay is on the right.

Day Pass

The day pass gives day visitors (without accommodations) access to several activities on the site. Details and rates

Note

Station touristique Duchesnay is not a Québec National Park. The Annual Québec National Parks Card is not valid for admission to this establishment.

Operating periods

The Station is open year-round.

Bicycle rental

  • June 5 to October 11, 2021*
    • every day, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (last rental at 5 p.m.)

Boating activities and stand up paddle rental

  • June 26 to October 11, 2021*
    • every day, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (last rental at 5 p.m.)

Cross-Country Ski Centre

The centre offers many services to cross-country skiing and snowshoeing buffs. It is open daily from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. As of spring break, the cross-country ski center will be open until 4:30 p.m. The opening hours are subject to change depending on weather conditions. In the centre, you'll find:

  • Schedule of the season's activities
  • Waxing room

* Subject to availability, equipment for children may be borrowed free of charge (one day rental maximum).

Souvenir Shop with Activity Info

The shop is in Auberge Duchesnay. It offers promotional items, local crafts and much more. The staff can also give you information about the activities available and take your reservations.
