Protected area. Enriching nature experiences.

Who hasn't dreamed of a day spent lounging on a vast sandy shore and walking for miles without reaching the end? That's exactly what you can do on kilometres of shoreline at Parc national de la Pointe-Taillon. Close examination of the sand reveals a world of splendour: garnets, zircon, lodestone...a fabulous wealth of beautiful semi-precious minerals. Boating and beach activities enthusiasts love the exceptionally warm water of Lac Saint-Jean. The park's cycling network starts just a few steps from the beach. It totals 45 km, 16 of which are linked to Véloroute des Bleuets.

Park access authorization

There is a limit to the number of visitors that can enter a national park on any given day. It is therefore strongly recommended that you purchase your right of access online before a visit or that you acquire an annual pass. This guarantees you access to the park, will ensure a smoother arrival at the site and avoid unnecessary travel when the maximum capacity is reached. It can be purchased up to 30 days before a visit. You may be denied access to a sector, a trail, or an activity if a parking lot is full or if the maximum capacity has been reached.
