Centre touristique du Lac-Simon offers 12 km of trails designed for cross-country skiing. These family-accessible trails are set out near the cabins and in the forest of the Centre. Bring your own equipment or rent one on site.

Trails are groomed on Thursday and Sunday, depending on snow conditions.

• Poles: 95 to 145 cm

Lac de la Ferme is accessible for ice fishing for brook trout. Don't forget your Québec fishing permit.

Ice fishing package

An ice fishing package at $49.99 (plus taxes) is available upon reservation. It includes 5 holes, 5 tip-ups, an 18-worm container, and hot drinks for your return! Don't forget to bring your foldable chairs.

A fishing license can be purchase at the Ultramar in Chenéville.

In the winter, 1,000 to 2,000 white-tailed deer visit the Lac Simon area. Be attentive and you will certainly have the chance to observe them!

Note that feeding deer and wildlife is not permitted, regardless of the food. 

This timeless activity delights young and old alike! Snow-tubing facilities are located close to the winter registration desk, at less than 1 km from the cabins for clients in lodgings. Snow tubes are provided free of charge.

Located 2 km from the Centre touristique du Lac-Simon, behind the Centre communautaire de Duhamel (1890 rue Principale), you will find a skating rink with a heated hut.

Skates from donations are available in the hut.

Relax in the sun or enjoy the beach activities offered on 2 km of fine sand. A summer paradise for parents and children alike! Ball games, sand castles, volleyball, walking in the sun, or a family picnic… there’s something for everyone. A number picnic tables and charcoal barbecues are at your disposal.

Attention! Supervised swimming is not offered during the following periods:

To minimize the risks when bathing

Bathing should only be done at designated supervised sites and in accordance with current guidelines. Unsupervised bathing in all other areas is at your own risk. Find out more

A 2-km cycling path crosses a white pine stand before arriving on the cycling path of the town of Duhamel. The path is also accessible for strollers. Biking enthusiasts can take the municipality's new cycling path. The circuit run for about 20 kilometres (round trip) in the forest.

Don't forget to bring your bikes, as the bike rental is no longer available.

Explore the woods! A beautiful mixed forest offers 17 km of hiking trails that gives you the chance to learn more about the surrounding nature!

Fishing on Lac Simon

An angler's paradise, Lac Simon is a habitat for many sports fishing species. Lake trout, landlocked salmon, whitefish, smallmouth bass or speckled trout...proof that the lake is in good health. Try your luck! 

Please note that motor boats are allowed on Lac Simon. Boats of more than 30 ft are not allowed.

Fishing at Lac de la Ferme

Just a few minutes from the campground, there's a perfect sport for family fishing. From the edge of this pretty lake, you can tantalize speckled trout or smallmouth bass. Gas motors boats are prohibited on the lake.

Bring your fishing gear and come to the information building for canoe rentals.

Children must be under parental supervision at all times, even if animators are on site to supervise the children at play.

Come enjoy the giant trampoline, climbing rock, and pirates boat! Children must be under parental supervision.

Bring your boat or rent one here. The 2,800-hectare Lac Simon and the tranquility of Lac de la Ferme have a wide range of discoveries in store for you. Explore the shores aboard a canoe, kayak, stand up paddle, or row boat, go birdwatching or cast your fishing line.

Less than 25 kilometers from the Centre touristique du Lac-Simon, the Meute Tanwen offers you a dogsled ride and will make you experience the magic of this ancestral sport in the heart of the forest by visiting the dogsled, meeting the dogs and puppies, explanations and lots of stories!
