American plan packages - Modification of the offer

Due to a personnel shortage, Sépaq has had to reduce its offer of moose hunting packages under the American plan. This type of package is now only offered at Auberge de montagne des Chic-Chocs. Packages offered in sectors previously set aside for moose hunting under the American plan have been converted to the European guided plan.

Staying in a cabin
- It’s fully equipped: lighting, stove, fridge, toilet, hot water and shower, fireplace or wood stove, as well as all the equipment you need for preparing and serving meals. Usually located near a lake or river.
Hunting access allowing you to harvest one or two moose
- Holders of a moose hunting licence are granted authorized access to hunt for a specified period in a vast and exclusive hunting sector with an average area of 68 km2. Each single group can harvest one moose while a double group can harvest two.
- New advantageous regulations
Free services
- A transportation sledge and a motorized winch, as well as a bracket, chain hoist, and gambrel, access to a cold room and the services of a bloodhound handler, depending on availability at the time.
