Forest access prohibited in part of the wildlife reserve
Please note that, for public safety reasons, the Ministère de la Sécurité intérieure has prohibited travel within and access to forested areas in certain regions of Québec. This restriction has been in effect since July 6, 2026, at 1 p.m.
The forest access and travel ban applies to the following areas of Réserve faunique La Vérendrye:
- Accommodation sectors: Granet, Gaotanaga, Pointe-de-Sable and Des Bouleaux
- Canoe-camping circuits: Lac Gaotanaga (#70) and Lac Granet - Outaouais (#73)
- Day-fishing lakes: Bend, Black, Goatanaga, Quiblier, À l'Épinette, Cawasachouane, Cinq Portages, Goudie, Hénault, Litvine, Machin, Padoue, Petit Quiblier and Roger
Guests with reservations or activities affected by this measure will be contacted to modify or cancel their reservation.
