Sépaq: simplification of the method for attributing fishing and vacationing stays for the summer of 2012
Québec - The Société des établissements de plein air du Québec (Sépaq) announces the simplification of its method for attributing fishing and vacationing stays in the wildlife reserves and national parks under its management. The new procedures concern the reservation of stays during the summer of 2012 and will attract the up-and-coming generation and promote traditions associated with nature.
Beginning on November 25, 2011, the population of Québec will be able to reserve on an exclusive basis, both on the Web (www.sepaq.com) and by telephone (1 800 665-6527), without a random draw, a fishing or vacationing stay in a wildlife reserve or a national park for the 2012 summer season. Reservations will be taken on a "first come, first served" basis, whether it be for a reservation made on-line or by telephone, according to the following calendar:

During this period, only Québec residents will be able to avail themselves of reservations, and all telephone reservations must be made at 1 800 665-6527.
With this calendar, reservations will be spread out over the first few days to avoid too great a rush. Reservations will begin at 9 a.m., both on-line and by telephone, starting on the indicated dates, and only Québec residents will be able to benefit from them up until December 4th inclusively. It should be emphasized that reservations will be possible year-round from the mentioned dates, both by telephone and on-line.
Reservations on a "first come, first served" basis will guarantee fairness of access, as it is already the case for most of the other types of stays offered by the Sépaq network. Being able to reserve beginning on November 25th for next year should promote the organization of fishing and nature vacationing trips for the 2012 summer season. That way, it will be easier to encourage the up-and-coming generation and to create traditions related to fishing and outdoor activities in the national parks and wildlife reserves under Sépaq management.
