Ecological Integrity
The Environment Indicators Program at Parc national du Mont-Mégantic
Since 2004, the Environmental Indicators Monitoring Program (EIMP) (see also the summary, in French only) has been implemented at Parc national du Mont-Mégantic. A total of 22 indicators are monitored. Among them is the index of habitat quality for Bicknell’s Thrush, the park’s animal emblem. Every year, a listening tour is conducted on the mountaintop to monitor the population.

After 10 years of field research, we are proud to present the first report on the evolution of the ecological integrity for Quebec’s National Parks. Access the entire findings of more than 370 surveys carried out through the Environmental Indicators Monitoring Program.
