Five destinations for relaxing by the water

In the summer, the best way to enjoy a beautiful, sunny day off is to spend it with your feet in the sand, by the water. Slip on your swimsuits, grab a beach umbrella and a beach ball, fill the cooler with triangle-shaped sandwiches and fresh vegetables, and off you go for a moment of pure relaxation. Here are five destinations that will make you feel like you’re on vacation for an afternoon.

Located in the Laurentides region, less than an hour from Montréal, Oka has everything to keep the whole family happy: play structures, basketball hoops, outdoor ping-pong tables, and the Aquazilla inflatable water course, featuring obstacles, slides, and platforms for jumping into the water and cooling off.

You can also rent watercraft, such as stand-up paddleboards, kayaks, and pedal boats. During the summer season, the beach is supervised by our team of lifeguards.

Bring your lunch or even your own comestibles for the grill (BBQs are available at Lac Stukely).

Good to know!

For those without a car, Oka and Mont-Orford national parks are accessible by public transit via the Navette Nature shuttle service.
