Points of interest: very beautiful river to canoe. The unspoiled circuit presents many rapids and portages for experienced canoeists. Several rapids to cross for whitewater enthusiasts. The portages are in good condition, fairly short, and with little difference in height. There are two starting points, either at the Ruisseau Camitakit bridge or at the Lac Cambrai. The Lac Cambrai starting point adds 16 km to the original circuit. There are also two exit points, either at the Dozois bridge or at the Outaouais campground. The exit point at the Outaouais campground adds approximately 13 km to the circuit. Boat launching: a shuttle service is offered for this circuit. Ask us for details. Please note that the launching is done from Chemin Chimo (marker 472 on Route 117). Route 292 is no longer accessible. Challenges:
|
* Type A portage: a portage that either connects two waterways or avoids obstacles, such as Class III or higher rapids, falls, weirs, impassable segments, dams, and rapids encountered against the current.
* Type B portage: a portage that avoids Class I and II rapids.
