The mandate of Parc national d'Oka cross country ski school is to offer cross country skiing at its best and adapted for children. A passionate and professional team helps kids and adolescents discover different aspects of skiing and the pleasures of moving outdoors in a natural environment.
There were more than 250 participants in the 2022-2023 winter season. This year, this great team hopes to welcome new skiers. Every weekend for 7 to 8 weeks, these cross country skiers enjoy lessons combined with fun-filled activities.
Cross Country Ski School for 3 1/2-16 Year-Olds
The school welcomes children as young as age 3 1/2. The educational program consists of games, role-playing, sets and costumes. At this age, the main objective is to help the children develop balance on their skis.
The program for older students teaches cross country skiing techniques for classic and skate skiing and gives them a chance to discover the fun of skiing in groups. Many games, sets and role-playing activities also promote learning and help children to hone their skills, making their ski experiences more fun and giving them a taste of the joys of skiing.
