Maintenance work on trails - Dégelis sector

A small group of volunteers will be accompanied by park warden patrollers and a trail maintenance worker on trails near the Discovery and Visitors Centre (Dégelis sector). Volunteers will do light work with hand tools such as pruning shears, sawdust, shovels, picks, and rakes.

  • Time: 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

  • Activity recommended for people 12 years and older
  • Bring appropriate long clothing, walking boots, and work gloves.
  • Bring fly oil, sunscreen and sunglasses if needed.
  • Tools and safety glasses provided.
  • Lunch and snacks provided (bring your water).
  • Free of charge

Conference on "Archaeological findings 2022”

Talk by the park archaeologist, providing an overview of the archaeological discoveries of interest during the 2022 summer season with explanations on what makes these discoveries important.

Workshops on stone cutting and arrowhead making

Very popular and sought after as a discovery activity, the stone cutting workshop, in a shortened format, allows participants to try out an age-old technique at the heart of the nomadic peoples' way of life. This workshop also highlights the Touladi chert, a unique geological feature of the national park.

Presentation on "Curiosities of the common animals of the national park”

Audio-visual presentation by a biologist on the common animals of the park. Sample question: Do you happen to know what the crow call means?

Cycling on Grey-Owl trail

Bicycle rental. Discover the 11 km (round trip) Grey-Owl trail between Touladi bridge and Anse-à-William.

  • Rental on site depending on availability (50% discount)
