Program

  • The evening events are adapted to the meteorological and astronomic conditions
  • First part
  • Poussières d'étoiles (starry dust) : did you know that the atoms that compose you were formed in the heart of the stars? This discovery so well shared by Hubert Reeves has changed the way we look at the Universe and ourselves. Discover with us the secret links that unite us to the cosmos.
  • Second part
  • If the sky is clear: stargazing outside. Possibility of observing with telescopes.
  • If the sky is overcast, presentation (in French) of the latest astronomical news in the multimedia room.
  • Optional and free walk by torchlight: this portion of the evening takes place between 7:15 p.m. and 9 p.m. People registered for the 5:30 p.m. activity can walk there afterwards, and people registered for the 8:30 p.m. activity can walk there before their evening.

Procedure

  • Approximate length: 2 h (add 30 minutes if the sky is clear).

  • Warm clothing (coat, toque, gloves).
