Rivière-Madeleine sector

Réserve faunique des Chic-Chocs

Newly ceded to Sépaq, the Rivière-Madeleine sector is now officially part of Réserve faunique des Chic-Chocs and is accessible to visitors.

Sépaq and the Ministère de l'Environnement, de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques, de la Faune et des Parcs (MELCCFP) have agreed to put the salmon fishing offer with and without accommodations up for sale for the 2025 season once the 2024 operating season has been completed and the wildlife harvesting data has been analyzed. This will allow for a readjustment of the fishing offer if required.

Moose hunting

The Rivière-Madeleine sector includes a forested territory that is teeming with game. An aerial survey conducted in the winter of 2022 revealed a moose density of nearly 15 moose/10 km2. Hunters in this sector will stay in a large cabin located very close to the sea.

The hunting packages will be allocated through a random draw.
