Since 2004, the Environmental Indicators Monitoring Program (EIMP) (see also the summary, in French only) has been implemented at Parc national des Monts-Valin. A total of 19 indicators are monitored. Among them are the degree of the lakes acidity, a widespread problem in the boreal regions, and the monitoring of Bicknell's Thrush, one of the rarest birds in Canada.
After 10 years of field research, we are proud to present the first report on the evolution of the ecological integrity for Quebec’s National Parks. Access the entire findings of more than 370 surveys carried out through the Environmental Indicators Monitoring Program. We therefore invite you to go take a look at the results for your favorite parks! (You can also consult the report summary in English - see below).
