Any outdoor activity involves risks. Before embarking on your activity, make sure you're familiar with the technical characteristics (length, altitude difference, estimated duration) of the circuit you'll be covering. Dehydration, cold, heat, lack of food, physical injury, and darkness are just some of the risks to which you may be exposed. It’s important to respect the abilities of your group and to have the appropriate equipment for the chosen itinerary. We therefore invite you to inform participants or their parents or guardians, as the case may be, of the risks inherent in hiking.
As group leader, never forget that everybody’s safety is in your hands. Group leaders and companions are tasked with supervising participants at all times. In some areas, communication with the outside world may be difficult, and there are no systematic patrols. Once you've entered the park, be aware that reaction time in the event of an accident can be lengthy. Good footwear, a change of clothes, water, and a trail map will help you enjoy your activity in complete safety. We recommend that you include a cell phone in your equipment.
During your visit, you must respect the rules and regulations of Parc national de Frontenac and ensure that your companions do the same. Here are some basic precepts with which to comply:
