... or Go at Your Own Pace

Are you more independent? No problem! Explore Parc national de l'Île-Bonaventure-et-du-Rocher-Percé on your own and soak up the spirit of the area.

In the Northern Gannet colony, discover the various behaviours of our starring bird at your own pace with the help of our discovery panels. On the observation tower, try to spot a whale in the sea with a little guidance from one of these panels.

On your way to the colony, participate in one of our discovery rally at your own pace.

The ground floor of Le Chafaud, a relic from the fishery days, is home to the park’s Discovery and Visitors Centre. You’ll find out all you need to know here before visiting the park, whether about geology, history or ornithology.

Did you know?

In the Footsteps of the Islanders

Since 2010, major restoration work was done on six Île Bonaventure fishermen’s houses from the last century. As you turn onto a picturesque street, these history-charged houses along Chemin du Roy evoke the incredible human adventure of the island. Between this amazing string of houses and stories, come walk in the footsteps of the islanders with a park warden-naturalist, who will bring this era back to life for you through the islanders’ memories and anecdotes.
