A variety of activities

A number of activities are available free of charge for your youngsters17 and under, including day fishing, AstroLab activities, access to the Natural History Exhibitions in Parc national de Miguasha and discovery activities of Québec’s national parks.

Entry to national parks

Good news for families! Your youngsters aged 17 and under no longer have to pay for national park entry fees.

Equipment loans

Equipment loans are free of charge for children in the company of their family. We also offer a range of equipment to make your stay easier, such as baby carriers and bike trailers. Details of equipment and services offered in our national parks

  • Are my children admitted free of charge to a national park when I book accommodations?
    • Children are admitted free of charge to all national parks at all times.
  • Do I have to count children when looking at the maximum capacity of an accommodation unit or site?
    • In cabins: no, because it’s possible to add children beyond the cabin's maximum capacity. For example, for a cabin identified as having a maximum capacity of six people, you can add four children free of charge when booking, for a total of ten people. Note that you will need to provide everything necessary for children to sleep comfortably and safely in the accommodation units. Find out more

      For campsites and ready-to-camp units: yes, because the maximum capacity identified is the actual maximum capacity, including adults and children.
  • Can I rent equipment to adapt an accommodation unit or site for children?
    • You'll need to make sure your children can sleep comfortably and safely in your accommodation unit or site.

      Many national parks and wildlife reserves offer rental equipment. No booking ahead; rentals are on a first-come, first-served basis. See the equipment available at each establishment

      All cabins and ready-to-camp units are equipped with dishes for children.
  • Are there special children's rates for equipment rental?
    • All bicycles (including helmets) and sports equipment (e.g. volleyballs, badminton rackets) are free for children aged 17 and under.

      Nautical equipment and walking sticks are available at a charge for children. See the equipment available at each establishment
