Accessible and rewarding activities

The park offers a number of hiking and biking trails, including big-wheel stroller accessible Grey-Owl trail (L‘Anse-à-William campground). It will take you to the sandy shores of Lac Témiscouata, a wonderful spot for a picnic. A ferry service also provides access to Le Petit Témis bike path, on the other side of Lake Témiscouata. Depending on the waterway, you can explore nature on board a canoe, kayak, a pedal boat or a stand up paddle board.

Theatre events, activities with a focus on animals, guided watercraft activities – all sorts of discovery activities are in store for the youngsters. Those who are 10 years of age or older can take part in real archeological excavations: an extraordinary and unique opportunity indeed! National parks abound with wildlife: bald eagle, white-tailed deer, beaver, and so much more. Take advantage of your visit to do some wildlife watching!

To be discovered during the summer: the Curious-by-nature trail, the first in a series of family-friendly trails at Camping du Grand-Lac-Touladi. This 0.7 km circuit set aside for children and their families features six discovery stations, each telling the story of a moment in the history of the territory encompassed by the park. A must for families!

Accommodations that the whole family can really enjoy

You can choose from among serviced or semi-serviced campsites at Camping de l’Anse-à-William. This is also where you can experience the comfort of ready-to-camp tent, or at Camping Grands-Pins (Dégelis sector). Nearby you’ll find sandy shores, playgrounds, and a wide range of hiking trails especially designed for family activities.

In the Saint-Juste sector, Camping du Grand-Lac-Touladi offer a total of 66 semi-serviced or two-service campsites. Located a stone’s throw from the lake, this camping sector has been entirely conceived and set up for the family, with a  playground  for children two to five and the Curieux de Nature circuit. These facilities revitalize the sector, providing a space for youngsters to have a great time running free in a natural setting while connecting with the park’s 10,000-year history. A common campfire area with BBQ, a mosquito shelter, and family showers are also be available on site.
