The contest period begins on February 16, 2017 at 11 a.m. (Eastern Time), i.e. the date of the first Recreational Vehicle Show, and it ends on Sunday, March 26, 2017, at 5 p.m. (Eastern Daylight Saving Time) (“Entry deadline”), i.e. at the closing of the second and last Recreational Vehicle Show.
a) Participants must make a booking during the holding of one of the two RV shows:
1. Montreal Recreational Vehicle, to be held from February 16 to February 19, 2017 at au Palais des Congrès.
2. Quebec Recreational Vehicle Show, to be held from March 23 to March 26, 2017 at au Centre de Foire Expocité.
b) A code specifically assigned to each show will make it possible to identify bookings made during each event. Clients along with their contact information will be identifiable by way of the booking number.
c) Participation restrictions: One (1) entry per booking. Each booking made at one of the two Recreational Vehicle shows constitutes one (1) entry.
(a) The Contest is open to residents of Québec. If the winner is under 18 years of age upon claiming his or her prize, he or she must be accompanied by a parent or tutor during the stay.
(b) Sépaq employees, managers, and administrators, and persons domiciled with them, cannot take part in the Contest.
(c) Sépaq may demand a proof of identity or eligibility for the Contest at any time. Participants who are not able to provide such proof may be disqualified. All personal and other information provided for the purposes of the contest must be true, complete, and accurate, and in no way misleading. Sépaq reserves the right to disqualify, at its sole discretion, participants who, at any stage, provide false, inaccurate, or misleading personal or other information.
(a) Participants have a chance to win a $500 Sépaq gift certificate applicable to bookings made at shows or to a new booking. The prize cannot be exchanged for cash, or otherwise exchanged or transferred.
- Four (2) winners (One winner per show)
Total value of prizes: $1,000.
(b) Winners are to assume any additional costs that are not explicitly included in the prizes under these rules. Winners and their guests must behave appropriately and respect all laws, as well as the regulations in force at the host establishment, and for the activities it offers. Sépaq reserves the right to disqualify and remove from activities, at its sole discretion and at any moment, participants who do not cooperate, exhibit improper conduct, or are susceptible to cause (or have caused) prejudice to people or damage to property.
(c) No financial compensation may be sought, or will be offered, if the real value of prizes is lower than the total value indicated in these Rules. Each prize must be accepted as awarded and may not be transferred or exchanged without Sépaq’s consent, which Sépaq may refuse. The Sépaq reserves the right, at its absolute discretion, to substitute a prize for another prize, of equal or greater value if, for any reason, the announced prize is not available in whole or in part.
(d) Except as expressly provided herein, Contest prizes are provided “as is” without warranty of any kind.
a) The two (2) draws will take place at Sépaq’s head office in Québec City, located at Place de la Cité, Tour Cominar, 2640 boulevard Laurier, suite 1300, before witnesses. prizes will be attributed through random draw among entry coupons following each show, on the dates below:
1) February 20, 2017, around 10 a.m., among the coupons of participants in the Québec City National Outfitters Hunting and Fishing Expo
2) March 27, 2017, around 10 a.m., among the coupons of participants in the Montréal National Outfitters Hunting and Fishing Expo
b) All decisions relating to the contest and the awarding of a prize made by Sépaq or by its representatives are final and are not subject to appeal.
c) In order to be declared winners, participants may be required to answer correctly and in the prescribed time limit, a mathematical skill-testing question without mechanical or other assistance, fully comply with contest regulations and, at Sépaq’s discretion, sign and return a declaration and liability release, and consent for advertising (“Release form”), as well as any other document that may reasonably be requested by Sépaq at its absolute discretion. Guests of the winners must also sign and return the Release forms, as required by Sépaq at its absolute discretion.
d) The chosen participants may be required to provide proof of identity upon claiming a prize, or in other contest-related contexts, in order to facilitate the accurate identification of winners.
e) If a selected participant does not meet the conditions herein, or refuses or gives up the prize, Sépaq reserves the right to cancel the prize, at its absolute discretion, to choose a different participant among the other eligible entry coupons based on the above-described process, or to give the prize to the charity of its choice.
When accepting a prize in the context of the contest, each winner must comply with the Contest rules; recognize that the prize is not transferable (except as set out herein and at Sépaq’s absolute discretion) and that it must be accepted as is, unless otherwise specified; agree that his or her name, place of residence, participation bulletin, voice, statements, photographs, and any other representation may be used by Sépaq, or its publicity and advertisement agencies, for advertising or for information purposes, as concerns this Contest or the prizes associated with it, without compensation or prior notice; and exempt Sépaq and its publicity and advertising agencies, administrators, managers, employees, and authorized representatives (collectively referred to as the “Releasees”) from any responsibility in regards to the contest or the awarding or use of any prize in the context of the Contest.
The Releasees will assume no liability and all participants release the Releasees of all claims or legal action, damages, demands, or obligations of any nature related to the participation or to an attempt to participate in this Contest and to prizes, in particular as regards the administration of the Contest, the selection and confirmation of the winner, as well as the planning, attribution, and utilization of a prize.
By participating in the contest, each entrant consents to the collection, use, and release of his or her personal information for the purposes and in the manner described herein. All information provided by entrants is collected by Sépaq and is subject to its confidentiality policy, which is available at the following address: http://www.sepaq.com/home/conditions.dot.
Participants may be offered the option of receiving commercial electronic messages or other information from Sépaq. However, eligibility for the Contest does not depend on entrants’ consenting to receive such messages or information, and the consent thereto will not affect their chances of winning the Contest. They may opt out of the mailing list at any time by following the cancellation directives that can be found at the end of all sent communications. Please consult the Sépaq confidentiality policy for information on how it collects, uses, and releases personal information.
(a) LAWS AND REGULATIONS The Contest will be held in accordance with these Rules, which are subject to change without prior notice, or liability of Sépaq towards you. Participants must respect these Rules and will be considered as having received and understood them upon entry. Except as set out herein, the terms and conditions of this Contest are not subject to change or counter-offer. The Contest is subject to the applicable federal, provincial, and municipal laws and regulations.
(b) CANCELLATION AND MODIFICATION Sépaq reserves the right to cancel, modify, or suspend this Contest in any way, at any time and for any reason. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, if for any reason the Contest cannot unfold as planned, Sépaq reserves the right to terminate or suspend it, or to hold a random draw from all eligible entries previously received.
(c) CONDUCT Sépaq reserves the right to disqualify, at its absolute discretion and without notice, participants whom it deems to have violated the Rules of the Contest; to have defrauded or attempted to defraud in relation to entry; to have compromised the implementing of the Contest or any website used for the Contest; to have acted in an unfair or inappropriate manner with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten, or harass any other person; or to have attempted to compromise the proper running of the Contest.
(d) OTHER WAYS TO PARTICIPATE This Contest is also open to all persons wishing to participate (hereinafter referred to as “Other participants”), under the following terms and conditions. Other participants must, as of the date of opening of the Contest, address a written request of at least fifty (50) words to the Société des établissements de plein air du Québec, stating the reasons why they wish to participate in the Contest and describing what they would do with the prize, and mail it to 2640 boulevard Laurier, suite 250, Québec City (Québec), G1V 5C2. All written requests must be received by Sépaq before the date of the draw. All written requests received before the specified deadline will be entered in the draw.
(e) RESIDENTS OF QUÉBEC Any dispute regarding the organization or conduct of a promotional contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling. Any dispute regarding the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of attempting to settle it.
