Cookie usage policy

Sépaq is committed to respecting your privacy. The purpose of the Cookie Usage Policy (the "Policy") is to detail the use of cookies ("cookies") on Sépaq's websites (“sites”). It also provides cookie customization options to help you make an informed choice.

To learn more about the protection of your personal information, please consult our Privacy Policy.

1. What is a cookie?

Cookies are small files created by your browser and placed on the hard drive of your computer or mobile device when you visit our sites. They enable the exchange of information between your device and Sépaq's computer servers and, where applicable, third-party systems.

These cookies enable us to collect information about your browsing habits. Among other things, they can be used to make browsing easier by remembering your browser's language settings.

2. Collection and use of cookie information

Cookies allow Sépaq to collect information related to your use of our sites, your browsing preferences, or your devices in order to provide you with a pleasant, personalized, and complete online experience and to ensure that you have access to all the content available on our sites.

In addition, this information allows us to better understand your interests so that we can offer you content that may be of interest to you on digital platforms external to Sépaq.

The nature of the information collected via cookies does not allow you to be directly identified. The information collected is governed by our Privacy Policy.

Cookies collect information such as:

  • the IP address (IP stands for Internet Protocol, a unique number assigned to your computer when it's connected to the Internet, enabling documents to be sent to you without error).
  • the type of browser and operating system used to access our sites.
  • interactions with digital advertising.
  • the date and time of access to our sites.
  • pages visited and time spent on each page.
  • activities on visited pages (such as page scrolling and clicks).
  • the origin of the visit (search engine, online advertising, social networks, email, etc.) to our sites.

3. Cookie categories

Sépaq has categorized its cookies according to what they allow us to accomplish on our sites: functional cookies, performance cookies, and advertising cookies.

Depending on the function of the cookie, it may be managed by Sépaq or by external service providers ("third parties"). These providers may change as our digital activities evolve. For more information on the privacy practices of these third parties, we invite you to consult the list of third parties below and to visit their respective websites.

You can choose your cookie preferences at any time. Please note, however, that by refusing certain categories of cookies, some features on our sites may not be available and you may not be able to enjoy a full online experience. For example, certain video content will not be accessible during your browsing.

In addition to cookies, Sépaq uses web beacons, also known as tracking pixels. Pixels are small transparent images placed on certain pages of our sites or in certain email communications. They enable us to collect information on user browsing habits, for example, as part of an advertising campaign. Unlike cookies, the pixel is linked to a third-party server. Pixels therefore do not allow Sépaq to retarget advertising following your browsing on our sites or to collect information directly linked to an individual.

Functional cookies (required)

Functional cookies ensure the proper functioning of our sites; it is therefore impossible to refuse them in the cookie management tool.

These cookies allow us to

  • Offer the content of our sites in your preferred language.
  • Maintain a high level of security during the transaction process.
  • Save the contents of your shopping cart in case you close your browser while carrying out a transaction.
  • Enable the queue to operate when opening bookings for our stays, activities, and services.
  • Ensure maximum browsing speed by distributing the load on our servers.

Performance cookies

Performance cookies enable us to collect certain information about how users browse our sites.

These cookies allow us to

  • Understand the path taken by users on our sites.
  • Identify and optimize your most visited pages.
  • Validate the current use of our sites and suggest improvements.

Sépaq's performance cookies are managed by the following third party:
