Newly ceded to Sépaq, the Rivière-Madeleine sector is now officially part of Réserve faunique des Chic-Chocs and is accessible to visitors. Find out more

Location

Réserve faunique des Chic-Chocs is in the Gaspésie tourism region.

It can be reached from Mont-Saint-Pierre and Sainte-Anne-des-Monts on Route 299 or via L'Anse-Pleureuse on Route 198.

Access and Operating Period

Registration Centre

The administrative office on Rue Prudent-Cloutier, in Mont-Saint-Pierre (Route 132, near the church) is open year-round, from Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The territory warden at Lac Mont-Louis, Lac Madeleine and Lac Ste-Anne sectors is open from May 24 to November 4, 2024, every day, from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.

During winter, the territory warden at Lac Ste-Anne sector is open from December 15, 2023 to April 9, 2024, every day, from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.

    How to use MicroSD files for Garmin GPS

    Please follow these steps to copy the GPS file on your MicroSD card:

    •  Download the GPS file.
    •  Save the file on your workstation.
    •  Decompress the*.zip file.
    •  Insert the MicroSD card into your computer, perhaps with the help of an adapter.
    •  Copy the Garmin folder on your MicroSD card.
    •  Withdraw the MicroSD card from your computer.
    •  Insert the MicroSD card into your Garmin GPS.

    Important: Please do not change the name of the directory or of the file; otherwise your GPS will be unable to read the document. The MicroSD card can hold only one GPS file. Use is reserved for Garmin GPS only.
