Accessibility for the mobility impaired is a priority for the Parc national d’Oka team. Here’s a complete description of the infrastructures and services available for this clientele.

Since 2011, Parc national d’Oka has been offering two ready-to-camp tents adapted for the mobility impaired. They are in the Dunes sector on sites 149 and 150.
The following elements make them universally accessible: adapted counter and table, access ramp, adapted locking system for windows and doors, and a raised fire pit.
The beach is within easy reach of Dunes sector by wheelchair.
Access ramp : equipment on loan free of charge to enable easy wheelchair access to non-adapted ready-to-camp tents.

Two Compact cabins are specialy adapted for the mobility impaired (Compact cabin 93 and 94).
The following elements make them universally accessible: adapted counter and table, access ramp, adapted locking system for windows and doors, and a raised fire pit.

Our washroom facility buildings have been adapted for universal access.
We loan the following two pieces of equipment free of charge to our mobility impaired clientele. We advise you to call 450 479-8365, ext. 0 to book this equipment before your visit or stay.
A piece of equipment on which you can install a wheelchair for access to the winter hiking trails.
The Hippocampe provides access to Lac des Deux-Montagnes and the hiking trails. In the winter, the addition of a ski under the front wheel makes it possible to explore our winter hiking trails.
Several discovery activities are easily accessible to the mobility impaired. Activities will give you a chance to explore the park with ease.

A paved multi-use trail winds through a majestic pine forest on the edge of Lac des Deux-Montagnes, leading to the beach. This trail is about 1 kilometre long. It starts from Le Littoral terrace.
A boardwalk is built all along the beach, where everyone can enjoy a breathtaking view of Lac des Deux-Montagnes, as well as easy access to the waterway. There is also a playground where the little ones can enjoy the good weather!
