QUEBEC NATIONAL PARKS DAY
Parc national de Plaisance
Plaisance Clay Festival
The Plaisance Clay Festival aims to link the artistic transformation of clay, the archaeological discoveries made in Parc national de Plaisance, clay as a raw material, and its therapeutic benefits, as well as the geological reality of the clay soil in the Plaisance area. In a magnificent setting, visitors will have the opportunity to meet about fifteen ceramist-potters, to appreciate their creations, and to participate in creative workshops (making turtles and fantastic animals, trying out the pottery wheel). Participants will also experience opera performances, undergo clay-based body treatments, and attend conferences on clay.

Cabinet of curiosities
A discovery booth where all your questions will be answered! Before the existence of museums, rich collectors accumulated strange objects from the world over. Each object, whether carefully classified or stored haphazardly in a cabinet of curiosities, had a story to tell. Dare to open the door that piques your curiosity... Who knows? You may discover a skull, a shell, or a devastating insect!

Discovering a secret world of nature
During the In Situ art symposium, under the theme of the people of the rivers, artists from here and elsewhere in Québec have combined their creativity, knowledge, and skills to create an open air sculpture garden! Accompanied by a park warden and naturalist, during a short hike, you’ll use all five senses to uncover secrets, some of which have remained deeply buried ... such as the discovery by local geologists of the bones of an animal that has not lived in the region for 12,000 years!
