In the company of a park warden and naturalist who will be able to answer all your questions, hike this trail to discover the Charlevoix Astroblème (981 m) and the Laurentides mountain range. As you approach the peak, don't forget to look under your feet, for shoots of arctic-alpine vegetation … that our team is working to protect!

Old Man of the Mountain
Meet our very own Old Man of the Mountain! A park warden and naturalist will be on hand at the peak of Mont-du-Lac-des-Cygnes to discuss conservation issues in our national park and answer your questions.

Le Gros Pin Rally
Explore the 2.1 km loop of Gros Pin trail and answer the rally questions. Your mission is to learn while having fun. Get out your paper and pencils... and head out for an adventure!

- Time: anytime (self-directed activity)

- The rally questions are posted directly on the trail. You’ll find the answers at the washroom facility of the campground.
Taiga hiking: the Great North within your reach
A total change of scenery less than two hours from Québec City! A hike in a very special atmosphere, on a trail that’s accessible only in the company of a park warden. Come and discover the multiple facets of the taiga: the traces of the last ice age and the fascinating world of lichens (5 km hike on easy terrain).

Kayaking at dusk
Life awakens at dusk. In the company of a park warden and naturalist, escape from your daily routine and paddle through an environment rich in wildlife habitats and exceptional landscapes. Sheltered from the light pollution of big cities, you’ll be able to observe nature at work as you’ve never seen it before! An awe-inspiring experience guaranteed.
Minimum age: Seven years old. Children must be accompanied by an adult on board the double kayak. The activity takes place rain or shine. Make sure you’re well prepared (drinking water, appropriate clothing for the weather). Equipment provided. Participants may also bring their own personal flotation devices and headlamps if they have them.
