Mont-Brun Visitors Centre

From Val d'Or:

  • Take Route 117 N for about 65 km, then turn right on Chemin Mont-Brun. Continue 22 km on a paved road and turn right onto Route d'Aiguebelle at village Mont-Brun. Once through the village, turn right at the bridge on the Route d'Aiguebelle. The park entrance is located 8 km from village Mont-Brun. The Visitors Centre is the first building when entering the park.

From Rouyn-Noranda:

  • Take Route 101 N and turn right on Route d'Aiguebelle at D'Alembert. Once at Mont Brun, turn left on the bridge and continue on for about 8 km until you arrive to the Mont-Brun park entrance. The Visitors Centre is the first building when entering the park.

From La Sarre:

  • Take Route 101 S and turn right on Route d'Aiguebelle at D'Alembert. Once at Mont Brun, turn left on the bridge and continue on for about 8 km until you arrive to the Mont-Brun park entrance. The Visitors Centre is the first building when entering the park.

From Amos:

  • Take Route 109 S. Once at Rivière-Héva, turn right on Route 117 N for 28 km, then turn right on Route Mont-Brun. Once through the village of Mont-Brun, turn right at the bridge on the Route d'Aiguebelle. The park entrance is located 8 km from village Mont-Brun. The Visitors Centre is the first building when entering the park.

Taschereau Visitors Centre (closed during winter)

From Amos:

  • Take Route 111 N towards Taschereau. Then, take Route 390 for 3 km and turn left onto montée d'Aiguebelle (road situated in front of the Tembec factory). Continue on 10 km to the Taschereau sector park entrance.

From La Sarre:

  • Take Route 101 S towards Poularies. Take Route 390 E and follow the signs for Secteur Taschereau.

From Rouyn-Noranda:

  • Take Route 101 N towards Poularies. Take Route 390 E and follow the signs for Secteur Taschereau.

From Val-d'Or:

  • Take Route 101 N towards Amos and continue to Taschereau. Take Route 390 for 3 km and turn left on Montée d'Aiguebelle (road located in front of Tembec factory). Continue on this road for 10 km until the park entrance in Taschereau sector.

Additional Information

To better plan your activities, please note the periods during which services are available in each sector. The trails remain open outside the opening periods, but in autonomy (no services or guarantee of the trails conditions). 

Please contact the Customer Relations Centre at any time at 1-800-665-6527 or the personnel at the Visitors Centre (Mont-Brun) before leaving home for information on road conditions and expected precipitations.

IMPORTANT: The Destor and Taschereau entrances are closed between the end of October and the end of May. The park is accessible only via the Mont-Brun entrance during this period. The accessible and clear roads are those indicated on this map (in French only).

Room rental

A room is available for rent at the Mont-Brun Discovery and Interpretation Center. With a capacity of 15 to 35 people, it is ideal for family or group receptions as well as for corporate events. A kitchen area with microwave oven and refrigerator is available. Rate: $154/day.

Convenience items are available at the Visitors Centre (Mont-Brun).

The Discovery and Interpretation Centre has a kitchen area with a microwave oven, and a refrigerator, all at your disposal.

From mid-June to Labour Day, the Abijévis campground and the Taschereau Visitors Centre offers a convenience store.

Baggage transportation services (in winter only)

Available to facilitate long cross-country skiing or snowshoeing outings. Please reserve 48 hours in advance by calling 819-637-7322.

Ten km from the Taschereau Visitors Centre, you'll find a snack bar and a convenience store. The village of Mont-Brun has a grocery store, a gas station and a snack bar (8 km from the southern park entrance).

Pets

Since May 17, 2019, dogs are allowed. However, they are only allowed in certain areas. Check out the applicable rules and authorized sites.

Guide dogs and service dogs are allowed everywhere. Other pets are still prohibited in national parks.
