Arctic char

The mountain trout, also called Arctic char, likes cold water and deep lakes. It will put up a good fight and can be seen jumping out of the water more than once when approached. It is not as fearful as other salmonids and its colour varies depending on its diet.

Although it resembles a brook trout, it is much rarer in the Sépaq network.
