Redevelopment of the upper falls sector

Parc de la Chute-Montmorency has begun redevelopment work in the upper Montmorency Falls sector. This project will greatly facilitate access to the heritage site, which should significantly reduce traffic congestion on Boulevard des Chutes and Avenue Royale. The redevelopment of the parking lot, the creation of a strolling circuit, and the planting of English gardens will bring the Victorian era to life around Manoir Montmorency. In addition to improving traffic flow, this project will also enhance visitor safety and experience on the site.

The park will remain accessible throughout the works, which will be completed in summer 2026. Parking space will be reduced, and the gatehouses in the Manoir sector will be relocated near the top station of the cable car. Traffic flow on the site will change throughout the construction period, with signage informing visitors of the route to follow.

Access to the site for groups

Coaches will need to arrive at the bottom of the falls, as access to the upper falls will be reserved exclusively for groups having booked a meal or activity. Coaches may drop off their customers at the top of the falls, but must then return to park at the bottom. This measure has been put in place to ensure the safety and fluidity of traffic during the construction work.
