The Lac Normand sector is a vacationer’s dream! You can expect to spend gorgeous days playing games with the family, having sand castle competitions and basking in the sun with your feet in the fine sand. There’s a great play module for the kids as well. Sailing on board a canoe, rowboat or kayak, or testing your balance on a stand up paddle boat : the choice is yours!

In this sector, you’ll find the easy-level Tourbière hiking trail. Elsewhere in the wildlife reserve, the Chutes-Dunbar and Chute du vent trails will lead you to discover splendid water cascades. Both are great spots for picnicking. From the observation deck of Lac Huguette you’ll have an excellent view of the entire reserve and the impressive Steamboat - a unique rock formation. Réserve faunique du Saint-Maurice abounds with wildlife: moose, white-tailed deer, loon, bald headed eagle and so much more. Take advantage of your visit to do some wildlife watching with the kids!

Looking to do some fishing? Besides the very high quality brook trout, you’ll also find lake trout, pike and more.

Come fall, you can introduce your youngsters aged 12 and older to hunting traditions. Orange vest-clad and hunting rifle in hand, watch out for ruffed grouse, spruce grouse and snowshoe hare if you’re looking for small game. Fancy a more imposing beast? Why not head off to hunt some moose.

Five fully-equipped cabins designed to accommodate four people are available along the Lac Normand shore. You can also navigate aboard a rowboat or a kayak, play on the shore, have a barbecue, or simply relax.
