Parc national du Mont-Orford

Accessible and rewarding activities
Stukely and Fraser beaches are ideal places for families. Their pristine lakes are perfect for swimming and navigating on board a canoe, rowboat, kayak or pedal boat. You and your bigger offspring can test your balance on a stand up paddle boat. At both beaches, there are playgrounds for the kids, picnic tables, washrooms and a watercraft rental centre. Le Bonnallie Visitors Centre includes a Boutique, a convenience store, a choice of ready-to-eat meal depending on the weather and a terrace with wonderful views on the lake and the Mont-Chauve. The park also offers a number of easy- and intermediate-level hiking trails, including the big-wheel stroller accessible Étang-Fer-de-Lance and Colline-du-Campeur trails. And you can loop around Trois-Étangs on a family bike ride or La Cavalière, linking the Stukely and Fraser sectors. For mountain bikers, take to the singletrack trails and explore a variety of forest environments.
Evening talks, activities with a focus on animals, guided watercraft activities, geocaching circuits – all sorts of discovery activities are in store for families, including some just for the youngsters. In case of bad weather, some activities will take place at La Grande-Halte community hall in the Lac-Stukely sector. National parks abound with wildlife: turtles, white-tailed deer, beaver, and so much more. Take advantage of your visit to do some wildlife watching!
Accommodations that the whole family can really enjoy
At Campings Lac-Stukely and Camping Lac-Fraser, you have a choice of serviced or semi-serviced campsites. This is also where you can experience the comfort of a ready-to-camp tent. Both campgrounds are both located close to the supervised beaches with a lifeguard on duty and to the meeting point for a number of discovery activities.
Fully-equipped Nature cabins are located in the Lac-Stukely sector. They offer a high quality product close to activities areas and the beach.

In winter, the family is always more than welcome
A must for winter sports fans! Cross-country skiing enthusiasts can take family-friendly trails 1, 2, 3 and 4. Taking your children for a sleigh ride will be a snap while winter hiking on Le Cerf trail, and snowshoeing with them on Coyote trail is easy too! A snack-bar, a convenience store and a ski shop can be found at Le Cerisier Visitors Centre. If you want to stay overnight in the park, the Nature cabins remain accessible by car and are located close to the trails.
