The Mountain Lodge is the perfect place to discover or practise alpine touring. A cross between off-trail cross country skiing and downhill skiing, this sport delights fans of powder snow. Pristine white snowfields, open glades and 300 m altitude differences are calling! All equipment provided. No mechanical ski lift.

Skishoeing promises you a new experience. It's accessible to all and requires no particular technique. The short wide skis fitted with climbing skins make the climbing easy and the ski back down slow. Ideal for good times in the powder snow! All equipment provided.

This snowboard, inspired by alpine touring, splits in two. For climbing, the heels are mobile. For the descent, you join the two sections of the board together and adjust the bindings to create a real snowboard. The powdery snowfields are yours! Snowboard, bindings and climbing skins provided (limited quantities). Bring your snowboard boots. No mechanical ski lift.

Both indoors and outdoors, everything at the Lodge invites relaxation. From the spa to the sauna, from panoramic balconies to comfortable sofas, wherever you go, the same peacefulness reigns. Give in to the gentle music of a stream, admire the changing light on the mountains, consult the varied books in our library, take part in a yoga session, and savour gourmet meals. Total escape from the urban uproar and the daily grind...

Be on the lookout: Québec's three great members of the deer family share the Lodge's territory with you. With the highest population density in Québec, moose greatly outnumber people here! The area's caribou and white-tailed deer also increase your chances of encounters. Look to the sky as well. It is full of birds of prey (eagles, buzzards, falcons). Numerous species of waterfowl also perform near the lakes. Guided moose, beaver and birdwatching safaris are available.

Enjoy a short hike or a backpacking trek either alone or with a guide. Anything is possible here. From dense forest to tundra, the trails accessible only from the Auberge cut through a variety of mountainous landscapes with breathtaking panoramic views. You can also explore barren peaks over 1,000 m high, and get a sense of the territory's immensity. A wide choice of excursions, varying in length and intensity, are available.

Imagine over 100 km of forest roads...just for you! Explore the heart of this untamed territory on a electric mountain bike, either with or without a guide. Along the way there are many lakes and rivers where you can stop and take a scenic break.

Possible initiation on the main road and on trails of varying difficulty to test your habilities.

Bike and helmet are provided. Gloves, protective glasses and bib shorts are not included.

Enjoy a change of scenery kilometre after kilometre. During the day, cool off in the crystal-clear natural pools at the base of the many waterfalls and discover the exceptional boreal flora found in the area. In the evening, take advantage of the inn's clear skies to gaze up at the Milky Way, or take a walk by the light of our headlamps. Beautiful discoveries in store!

Test your balance and observation skills on Lac Grand-Fond!

Lac Grand-Fond, easily accessible from the Auberge, is home to the paddleboard base. It's also a great place to observe wildlife, especially at the beginning or end of the day. The accompanying guide offers technical advice for the activity, allowing you to make the most of a moment of relaxation and discovery. Guaranteed fun!

Take advantage of the kayaks available at the Lac Barbarin water sports center, the largest lake of the territory. Whether for a few hours or for the day, glide along the water and enjoy the immensity and beauty of the landscape in complete tranquillity. Located 4 km from the Auberge, the lake is accessible by hiking or mountain biking. On-site facilities make for a comfortable picnic.

The chef's healthy and delicious meals feature a pride of place to products from the sea, the land and the forest. The window-lined dining room is a friendly space and offers a warm and relaxed atmosphere.

We invite you to eat, drink, and merry

Between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. – Breakfast buffet.

Between 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. – Lunch buffet. If you’re heading out to the mountain, tasty and energy-rich lunch boxes will be prepared so that you can extend your excursions. All you have to do is inform the kitchen staff the day before.

Before dinner – Spend a happy hour at the bar area where you can exchange discoveries of the day, if you so desire.

Starting at 7 p.m. – Dinner, offering refined menus inspired by local produce in a relaxed atmosphere.

Hot beverages, muffins, cookies and other snacks are available at all times in the dining room. For longer outings in nature, you can also ask the kitchen staff to make you a delicious and energizing boxed lunch.
