We LOVE fall! How about you?

Our five reasons to love the season of colour

Like you, we’re true nature lovers. Even with the changing of the seasons, we always find an excuse to play outside and enjoy what the most beautiful natural settings of Québec have to offer. So you’ll understand that there’s no reason to feel glum even if summer is over.

Okay, it’s time to confess: we’re simply nuts about autumn. You don’t get it? Want to hear more? Here’s why fall should rank among your top four (!) seasons of the year.

Piles of leaves

No need to be a tiny tot to love jumping into giant piles of leaves. After the drudgery of raking, it’s time to leap in, destroy, and start all over again! For a moment, we can return to childhood and have loads of fun. Really, it wouldn’t be autumn without these millions of leaves changing colour and falling at breakneck speed. So why not head into the forest for a hike and marvel at this great natural spectacle? Don't miss the show!

A campfire and plenty of blankets

Who says you need to be afraid of the growing cold? Just pull out the old sweater that’s been in the dresser since the end of last winter. It’s also time to unfold your thickest covers and settle snugly in. All that’s missing is that lovely home fire and nature lovers to gather around it. At the campground, near the cabin, or simply in your own backyard, you’ll have a chance to enjoy, for a few moments, the very best that nature has to offer.

The return of fondue dinners

Ah fondue! Chinese, cheese, bourguignonne... this is comfort food that dethrones the barbecue when fall hits the scene. Beyond the pleasure that fondue brings, it’s also a great pretext to bring out a fine bottle of wine and gather with family or friends to talk about everything under the sun.

Tripping at a cabin with friends

Between summer vacation and the Christmas holidays, everyone needs a bit of a break. So for a weekend, why not leave behind the daily grind for some good times with old friends? You can meet up in a forest cabin where you can relax for real. And do you know what’s really great? Your little cabin escape will allow you to combine all the best pleasures of fall: leaves, the campfire, and a fondue dinner!

Apples, apples, EVERYWHERE: in pies, in applesauce… and straight from the tree

It’s apple-picking time. Quebecers’ very favorite fall activity! Each year, it simply goes without saying. Off to the orchards we head! Because there’s something special about apple-picking: a sense of communing with nature. Whether to fill the fridge with pies or even to wolf down apples in the orchard until we’re ready to burst, we all have our reasons to love this fall outing.
