Parc national des Îles-de-Boucherville

March 7: Mobile cooking and hiking on the islands

Come spend an evening in the park and experience street cooking while strolling along our illuminated trails. A different street truck will be featured for each evening. Also on the program: music and outdoor fires, ambient lighting, heated terrace, hot chocolate, coffee, marshmallows for the kids, and a discovery activity led by a park warden and naturalist. Details (in French only)

March 7: Snowshoeing and regional flavours at Lac de la Sauvagine

Join the snowshoeing excursion to Lac de la Sauvagine in the evening with a park warden and naturalist. During your hike, there’ll be a stop near Lac de la Sauvagine to warm up around a fire, along with chocolate courtesy of Mathilde Fays and fortified wine from Okois. The perfect opportunity to discover the Oka territory from all angles. Details (in French only)

Parc national de la Jacques-Cartier

March 7, 14, 21 and 28: Get yourself a log 

With snowshoes firmly fastened, you’ll experience the glories of dusk while treading the virgin snow off the beaten track. Let yourself be transported to the time of lumberjacks and loggers who worked in the Jacques-Cartier Concession. Snug and warm, you’ll enjoy local sausages and microbrewery beer. March 7: Festival hors-piste de la Jacques-Cartier

Alpine touring/off-piste skiing enthusiasts are invited to this festival, which will begin on March 7 at 9 a.m. On the agenda, there will be exhibitors on site to present the latest equipment (La Cordée, Xalibu, Black Diamond, Empire, Fédération québécoise d’Escalade et de Montagne, Avalanche Québec); an after-ski event featuring music, beer, and a BBQ at the Discovery and Visitors Centre. Details


March 7: Cross-country skiing by moonlight

Take advantage of the light of the full moon to travel down the cross-country ski trails of Duchesnay at nightfall. A campfire, torches, and a hot beverage will await you at La Bicoque Hut. Details

March 7: Wolf packs and mysteries around the fire

To be enjoyed with family or friends, this convivial winter activity will appeal to both return customers and those who are just plain curious. After a 1.5 km snowshoeing excursion, you’ll get together around the outdoor campfire to sip a hot chocolate with marshmallows or a delicious coffee. This is when you can participate in our brand-new wolf game. A park warden and naturalist will be on site to present myths and truths about this renowned canid. Details (in French only)

March 6: Snow tubing and hot chocolate - New!

A festive atmosphere will be the order of the day at Le Porc-Épic rest stop. Come and play in the snow, slide, and then warm up with a delicious hot chocolate. An exceptional playground, creating moments you’ll never forget. Details (in French only)

March 7: Snowshoe rally - New!

Learn more about the park's wildlife by doing some stuffed animal hunting as part of a snowshoe rally that’s a guaranteed barrel of laughs. Details (in French only)

March 8: Taffy on snow

The staff at Parc national du Bic invites you to sample maple taffy on snow. Indulge your sweet tooth and immerse yourself in the beauty of your surroundings! Details (in French only)

March 14: Evening torch-lit hike and marshmallows

Invite your friends or family and come walk under twinkling torch light. To warm up a bit, you can also toast some marshmallows and enjoy a nice hot chocolate around a lovely campfire. It’s an easy level hike totalling 5 km. Details (in French only)

March 21: Snowshoe photo workshop - New!

Come and photograph winter nature with photographer JC Lemay. Snowshoeing as well as tips and tricks will be on the agenda in one of the most beautiful places to practice what you’ve learned. Details (in French only)

March 4, 5, 6, 7, 14 and 21: Astronomy Evening at the ASTROLab

The Astronomy Night at the ASTROLab (at the base of the mountain) begins with the presentation of the film Cosmic Rhythms, then Celestial Movements, and continues with the observation of stars with telescopes outside. If the sky is cloudy, the evening continues inside with the following presentations: Astronomical News and Cosmos Interactive. No matter the weather, your eyes will be filled with stars! Details (in French only)

March 4, 5, 6, 7, 14 and 21: Torchlight snowshoeing

Go snowshoeing under the soft glow of the Moon and torches on a marked 3.5-km circuit (classified easy). Details

March 6: Choco-Torches night

The magic of a torch-lit snowy path where you can experience the park at night! When you return, you’ll enjoy a delicious fruity and chocolaty dessert prepared by Chocolats Vanden Eynden around the crackling fire. Pleasure, laughs, and a touch of madness will be on the menu! Details (in French only)
