Mobile cooking and hiking on the islands
Parc national des Îles-de-Boucherville
Come spend an evening in the park and experience street cooking while strolling along our illuminated trails. A different street truck will be featured for each evening. Also on the program: music and outdoor fires, ambient lighting, heated terrace, hot chocolate, coffee, marshmallows for the kids, and a discovery activity led by a park warden and naturalist. An activity that will delight lovers as well as the whole family!
Parc national du Mont-Mégantic as well as other Sépaq establishments
With nights falling faster than a shooting star in winter, sky conditions at Parc national du Mont-Mégantic are perfect for star gazing. Celebrate the night with your one and only at the first International Dark Sky Reserve by going snowshoeing under the glow of stars and torches and taking part in an astronomy evening at the ASTROLab. Don’t forget to wish upon a star: your heart’s desire may come true!
Pull up a log
Parc national de la Jacques-Cartier
Snowshoeing along the Jacques Cartier River, beer and sausage tasting, and a tale and legend presentation in the company of the log drivers and lumberjacks who worked at the Jacques-Cartier concession… What a cool and different way of celebrating Valentine’s Day! This activity is for adults aged 18 and over. The hike begins at sunset. Details (in French only)
Parc national du Mont-Orford
A magical walk in the snow by torchlight just might rekindle the fire in your couple! When you return, you’ll enjoy a delicious fruity and chocolaty dessert prepared by Chocolats Vanden Eynden around the crackling fire. Pleasure, laughs, and a touch of madness will be on the menu. Reservation required: 819-843-9855, ext. 0. Details (in French only)
Fondue service for gourmets
Parc national d’Oka
This winter, just for gourmets, a fondue is being offered at the Compact cabins of Parc national d’Oka. This option includes a portion of Québec cheese fondue, half a baguette offered by the Panière d’Alexie bakery, and a dessert by Chocolaterie Mathilde Fays. The fondue pot and fork are on us! Very romantic indeed!
Snow-covered bike trails
Couples on the go might enjoy a bike ride in the snow. With fatbike oversized tires, no need to give up practicing your pedal stroke during the cold season. This activity is offered at Aiguebelle, Bic, Jacques-Cartier, Hautes-Gorges-de-la-Rivière-Malbaie, Îles-de-Boucherville, Oka, Mont-Saint-Bruno, Mont-Orford, Mont-Tremblant, Monts-Valin and Yamaska national parks, as well as at Centre touristique du Lac-Simon. Equipment rental is also available in some places.
Cross-country skiing for lovers
Cross-country skiing can also be a great activity should you decide to celebrate love at the heart of nature this year! What’s more, four centres are located near the urban hubs of Montreal and Quebec City. Altogether, our renowned network includes seven cross‑country ski centres: Camp Mercier, Station Touristique Duchesnay, and Mont-Mégantic, Mont-Orford, Mont-Saint-Bruno, Mont-Tremblant, and Oka national parks, most of which offer equipment rental, a ski waxing room, rest stops, food services, and a shop. The circuits usually lead you to heated rest stops to enjoy an intimate and romantic moment of tranquility!
