Activities and Services

Fishing

Some twenty lakes are spread out over the six accommodation sectors in lakes Martel, Duvivier, Matane, Joffre, Simoneau, Étang-à-la-Truite and Rivière-Matane. In addition, approximately ten lakes are reserved for day fishing. Fishing is managed by following a plan determined ahead of time and approved by the ministère des Ressources naturelles, de la Faune et des Parcs du Québec.

New in 2008 : It is now possible to reserve your day fishing activity 4 months in advance. For example, if you want to fish on June 24, you should reserve on February 24. Online reservations and phone reservations start at 8:30 AM (1 800 665-6527). See Reservation Terms and Conditions and the 2008 Day Fishing brochure to find out when the different bodies of water open for fishing.

Catch and Possession Limit:

Brook trout: 15
Lake trout: 2 (Lac Matane)

However, some lakes have lower catch limits.
This is true for Étang à la Truite (10 brook trouts)
