Fishing by the Day
Anglers can try their luck with yellow perch, smallmouth bass and catfish. Up to 19 different fish species populate the reservoir. A Québec fishing licence is mandatory and gas motors are prohibited.
Period: Visitors must respect fishing season opening dates for each species.
Cycling
Cycling is a popular activity at Parc national de la Yamaska. The cycling path winds through the parka round Réservoir Choinière, revealing a forest valley typical of the Appalachian lowlands. A number of viewpoints and rest stops are scattered along the 20-km circuit, inviting cyclists to take a break. The park’s cycling path is part of a regional network of over 250 km of cycling paths. Among the many possible routes, starting from the park, you can do a 56 km loop that passes Granby and Waterloo.

Hiking
To discover the park’s attractions, what could be better than a hike along beautiful trails? There are many loops to choose from. Find out more at the Visitors Centre before setting off. And don’t forget your binoculars!
